I and, the emptiness of the non-virtuous, the emptiness of the unteachable, the emptiness of enlightenment, the emptiness of the path, the emptiness of nirvana, the emptiness of conduct, the emptiness of attainment, the emptiness of ultimate truth, emptiness of emptiness, and also show the great emptiness. Some show clairvoyance. Water and fire arise from the body, if water flows from the upper part of the body, fire burns from the lower part of the body. If water flows from the lower part of the body, fire burns from the upper part of the body. If the right armpit is lowered, water flows from the left armpit, if the left armpit is lowered, water flows from the right. If thunder roars from one armpit, rain falls from the other armpit. Some also show many Buddha-fields. Some show the bodhisattva first born from the womb, walking seven steps, enjoying the five desires in the palace, from the first renunciation to asceticism, going to the Bodhi tree and entering into samadhi, subduing the hordes of demons, turning the wheel of Dharma, showing great miracles and passing into nirvana. World-Honored One, the monk Gawa, having seen such things, thought in his mind, "Who has done these miracles that I have never seen before? Isn't it the World-Honored One Shakyamuni Buddha who has done them?" Thinking thus, he had no idea whether to stand, speak, or do anything. The monk Gawa, who was seized by the noose of Mara, also thought, "The Buddhas, the World-Honored Ones, speak differently, who should I believe now?" World-Honored One, the monk Gawa thus experienced great suffering, and even though he remembered the Tathagata, he could not become a protector, so he was not in this circle of attendants. At that time, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Manjushri, who had become a youth, said to the World-Honored One, "World-Honored One, in this circle of attendants, there are bodhisattvas who have attained one life after generating the mind of unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment, and there are also bodhisattvas who have attained countless lives after generating the mind of enlightenment, and who have purified their minds by offering to countless Buddhas.
