Thirteenth, the chapter of the venerable Ajnatakaundinya. Thirteenth, the chapter of the venerable Ajnatakaundinya. Volume Fifty-one. Then, the Blessed One said to the venerable Ajnatakaundinya: Form is impermanent; due to the cessation of form, one attains the liberation of the permanent form. Feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness are also impermanent; due to the cessation of consciousness, one attains the liberation of the permanent consciousness. Kaundinya, form is suffering; due to the cessation of form, one attains the liberation of the bliss of form. Feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness should also be understood in the same way. Kaundinya, form is emptiness; due to the cessation of empty form, one attains the liberation of the non-empty form. Feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness should also be understood in the same way. Kaundinya, form is selflessness; due to the cessation of form, one attains the liberation of the true self of form.

Through the condition of the dissolution of form, one will obtain form that is liberated and not subject to birth. Feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness should also be understood to increase in the same way. Kauṇḍinya, form is the cause of the four inversions. Through the condition of the cessation of form, one will obtain form that is liberated and not the cause of inversions. Feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness should also be understood to increase in the same way. Kauṇḍinya, form is the cause of immeasurable non-virtuous dharmas. For example, desire for bodies such as male and female, and for food, as well as attachment to desire, hatred, delusion, miserliness, jealousy, non-virtuous minds, stingy minds, edible food, consciousness food, thought food, touch food, egg-born, womb-born, moisture-born, miraculously born, the five desires, and the five obscurations, etc., all arise from form. Through the condition of the cessation of form, one will obtain a body without such faults and without such defects, which is liberated. Feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness should also be understood to increase in the same way. Kauṇḍinya, form is bound by bonds. Through the condition of the cessation of bound form, one will obtain form that is liberated and without bonds. Feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness should also be understood to increase in the same way. Kauṇḍinya, form is the cause of non-cessation. Through the condition of the cessation of permanent form, one will obtain form that is impermanent. Feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness should also be understood to increase in the same way. Kauṇḍinya, form is not a cause for refuge. Through the condition of the cessation of form, one will obtain refuge, which is liberated. Feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness should also be understood to increase in the same way. Kauṇḍinya, form is like a wound. Through the condition of the cessation of form, liberated

One will obtain a form aggregate without flaws. Similarly, between feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, one should also understand that they increase in the same way. Kauṇḍinya, form is not utterly pacified. Due to the cessation of form, one will obtain an utterly pacified form, completely transcending suffering. Similarly, between feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, one should also understand that they increase in the same way. Kauṇḍinya, if someone understands in such a way, that person is called a śramaṇa, and also called a brahmin. This is also called possessing a śramaṇa, the dharma of a śramaṇa, a brahmin, and the dharma of a brahmin. Kauṇḍinya, apart from the Buddha's dharma, there is no other śramaṇa, no brahmin, and no dharma of śramaṇas and brahmins. All the heretics are merely speaking falsely, without correct conduct. They pretend to be those two kinds of people, but the existence of those two kinds does not exist. Why is that? Because without the dharma of śramaṇas and brahmins, why do they say there are śramaṇas and brahmins? I also constantly roar the lion's roar in this circle of the assembly, and you should also constantly roar the lion's roar in this great circle of the assembly. At that time, countless heretics, upon hearing these words, generated hatred and said: The śramaṇa Gautama said that we have neither śramaṇas nor brahmins, nor the dharma of śramaṇas and brahmins, what should we do? Śramaṇa Gautama, in our assembly, there are also śramaṇas and the dharma of śramaṇas, and there are also brahmins and the dharma of brahmins. At that time, in that circle of the assembly, a wandering ascetic said this: Friends, the words of the śramaṇa Gautama are like those of a madman, and if there is no distinction, what is there to believe? In the world, even those who are not mad sometimes sing, sometimes dance, sometimes cry, sometimes laugh, sometimes scold, sometimes praise, just as they cannot distinguish between relatives and enemies. The śramaṇa Gautama is also like that, sometimes saying that I am the son of King Śuddhodana,
