Therefore, it is said that all beings have it in order to certainly obtain it. Son of good family, for example, the good and non-good deeds done by sentient beings are not inside, nor outside. Likewise, the nature of karma is neither existent nor non-existent. It is not without beginning and now existent, nor does it arise without a cause. It is not that by doing this, one experiences this; it is not that by doing this, another experiences it; it is not that by another doing, another experiences it. There is no doing, and it is not that there is no experiencing. Just as when time and conditions come together, the fruit ripens, so too is the Tathagatagarbha of sentient beings. It is not without beginning and now existent, not inside, not outside, not existent, not non-existent, not here, not there, not coming from elsewhere, and not without a cause. It is not seen by all sentient beings, but Bodhisattvas see it when time and conditions come together. That which is called time is like this: When a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who dwells on the tenth ground cultivates the eight noble paths and obtains equanimity towards all sentient beings, at that time, they see it. That is not called a child. Son of good family, the meaning of your saying it is like a magnet is not so. Why is that? Because a stone does not attract iron. Why is that? Because it has no mind and no karma. Son of good family, because different dharmas exist, different dharmas arise. Because different dharmas do not exist, different dharmas cease. There is no doing, and there is no destruction. Son of good family, for example, a spark cannot burn wood, but when fire arises, the wood is destroyed, so it is called burning. Son of good family, for example, a wheel turns like the sun, but that wheel has no mind of reverence, no consciousness, and no karma. However, due to the characteristics of different dharmas, it turns on its own. Son of good family, for example, the trunk of a water tree grows when the sound of a dragon is heard, but that trunk has no ears, no mind, and no mental consciousness. However, because different dharmas exist, different dharmas arise. When different dharmas do not exist, different dharmas cease. Son of good family, for example, if a woman approaches an Ashoka tree...

Touching it produces flowers, but that tree has no mind, nor the feeling of touch. But because there are different dharmas, different dharmas arise. If there are no different dharmas, different dharmas will cease. Son of good family, for example, if a sour orange tree is covered with ashes and soil, the fruit will become better and more abundant. That sour orange tree also has no mind, although there is no touch, but because there are different dharmas, different dharmas arise. If there are no different dharmas, different dharmas will cease. Son of good family, for example, when planting a Nepali apple tree, if it is fertilized with bricks, bones, and manure, the fruit will become very good. That Nepali apple tree, although it has no mind and touch, but because there are different dharmas, different dharmas arise. If there are no different dharmas, different dharmas will cease. Son of good family, the magnet attracting iron is also the same, because there are different dharmas, different dharmas arise. If there are no different dharmas, different dharmas will cease. The Buddha-nature of sentient beings is also the same, unable to attain unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Son of good family, ignorance also cannot take actions, and actions also cannot take consciousness, but because of the condition of ignorance, actions arise, and because of the condition of actions, consciousness arises. Whether the Buddha dwells or not, the realm of Dharma is always abiding. Son of good family, if it is said that the Buddha-nature dwells within sentient beings, then son of good family, the permanent Dharma has no place. If there is a place, it will become impermanent. Son of good family, the twelve links of dependent origination have no निश्चित existing place. If there is a निश्चित place, then the twelve links of dependent origination cannot be said to be permanent. The Dharmakaya of the Tathagata also has no place of existence. The Dharma realm, Dharma sphere, Dharma aggregates, and space also have no place of existence. The Buddha-nature is also the same, having no place of existence. Son of good family, for example, the four great elements are equal in strength, all having the same characteristics of hardness, warmth, moisture, movement, lightness, heaviness, red, white, yellow, and black
