He said, "Yes, it is." Sentient beings are also the same, everyone has a mind. Whoever has a mind will undoubtedly attain unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Therefore, I always say that all sentient beings have the Buddha-nature. Noble son, there are two kinds of perfection: the perfection of adornment and the perfection of perfection. There are also worldly perfection and transcendental perfection. Among them, the perfection of adornment is the six perfections. The perfection of perfection is that all sentient beings attain the one vehicle. The so-called one vehicle is the Buddha-nature. Therefore, I say that all sentient beings have the Buddha-nature, and although all sentient beings have the one vehicle, they are not seen because they are covered by ignorance. Noble son, for example, the sound of the north is unpleasant, and the thirty-three heavens experience the ripening of karmic results, these defiled sentient beings cannot see them. The Buddha-nature is also the same, because it is obscured by all afflictions, sentient beings cannot see it. Furthermore, noble son, the so-called Buddha-nature is the Heroic Progress Samadhi, like the essence of ghee, it is the mother of all Buddhas. By the power of the Heroic Progress Samadhi, the Tathagatas become permanent, blissful, self, and pure. All sentient beings also have the Heroic Progress Samadhi, but because they have not cultivated it, they cannot see it, therefore they have not attained unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Noble son, the Heroic Progress Samadhi has five names: it is also called the Heroic Progress Samadhi, it is also called the Prajnaparamita, it is also called the Vajra-like Samadhi, it is also called the Lion's Roar Samadhi, and it is also called the Buddha-nature, the name is given according to the qualities it possesses. Noble son, how does one Samadhi obtain various names? Like this, contemplate meditation.

In the context of meditation, it is called the four meditations; in the context of faculties, it is called the faculty of meditative concentration; in the context of powers, it is called the power of meditative concentration; in the context of the limbs of enlightenment, it is called the limb of enlightenment of meditative concentration; in the context of the noble path, it is called right meditative concentration; in the context of the eight kinds of conceptualization of a person, it is called the conceptualization of meditative concentration; similarly, the samadhi of courageous going is also the same. Son of the lineage, all sentient beings possess three kinds of meditative concentration. What are the three? They are the superior, the intermediate, and the inferior. Among them, the superior is the Buddha-nature, therefore it is said that all sentient beings possess the Buddha-nature. The intermediate refers to all sentient beings possessing the first dhyana. If they encounter the conditions, they will fully cultivate it, but if they do not encounter the conditions, they will not fully cultivate it. There are two kinds of causes and conditions: the fire kalpa and the complete destruction of the afflictions of the desire realm. Therefore, it is said that all sentient beings possess the intermediate meditative concentration. The inferior meditative concentration is the meditative concentration that arises from the mind from the ten great grounds. Therefore, it is said that all sentient beings possess the inferior meditative concentration. All sentient beings possess the Buddha-nature, but because it is covered by afflictions, it cannot be seen. Although the bodhisattvas of the ten bhumis see the one vehicle, they do not know that the Tathagata is of the nature of permanence. Therefore, although the bodhisattvas of the ten bhumis see the Buddha-nature, it is not clear. Son of the lineage, "courageous" means that everything is perfected. "Going" means relying. Because everything ultimately relies, it is called courageous going. Therefore, the samadhi of courageous going is called the Buddha-nature. Son of the lineage, once upon a time I was dwelling on the bank of the River of Joy, and I said to Ananda: Today I will bathe, so fill my robe with bean flour. Then, as I entered the water, flew into the sky, all those who walked on water and land came to look at me. At that time
