It is just like that. What is the reason for that? The body of the Tathagata is like a diamond, boundless and limitless, eternal, blissful, possessing self, and a completely pure body. There is no obstruction in body and mind, and it possesses the eight freedoms. Only the Bhagavan can adorn the Sala tree grove. If he does not reside here, it will not be beautiful. Please consider with great compassion, and in order to thoroughly adorn it, I pray that you will always reside in this Sala grove. The Bhagavan said: Son of good family, if the nature of all dharmas is a place without a place to dwell, why do you say that you pray for the Tathagata to dwell here? Son of good family, what is called a dwelling place is the dharma of form. Because it arises from a cause, it is called a dwelling place. That which has no cause and condition is called a dwelling place without a dwelling place. If the Tathagata has cut off all the bonds of form, why do you say that you pray for the Tathagata to dwell here? Similarly, feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness should also be understood in detail in the same way. Son of good family, what is called a dwelling place is called pride. Because of pride, one is not completely liberated. Because one is not completely liberated, it is called a dwelling place. In whom does pride exist? From where did it come? Therefore, it is called a dwelling place without a dwelling place. Since the Tathagata has completely cut off all pride, why do you say that you pray for the Tathagata to dwell there? A dwelling place is an assembled dharma, and the Tathagata does not dwell because he has completely cut off the assembled dharma. A dwelling place is the dharma of emptiness, and since the Tathagata has completely cut off such a dharma of emptiness and has attained eternity, bliss, self, and complete purity, why do you say that you pray for the Tathagata to dwell here? A dwelling place is the twenty-five existences, and since the Tathagata has completely cut off the twenty-five existences, why do you say dwell? A dwelling place is all the base and various beings. The noble one has neither gone, nor come, nor dwells. Since the Tathagata has completely cut off the characteristics of going, coming, and dwelling, why do you say dwell? Therefore, not dwelling is the body being boundless, and thus the body is
