Flowers and leaves, and flowers and fruits, etc., would not appear with different shapes and forms. Son of the lineage, when milk is in the state of milk, it is different, the taste is different, the fruit is different, until the essence of butter is different, then how can it be said that milk has the nature of yogurt? Son of the lineage, for example, if someone drinks butter like yesterday, but says it smells bad from today, it is the same as saying that milk must have the nature of yogurt. Son of the lineage, for example, a pen and paper and ink, etc., become letters, but even paper does not have letters from the beginning. Because it does not exist from the beginning, it is established by relying on conditions. If it existed from the beginning, then many conditions would not be needed. For example, if blue and yellow are mixed, they become green, but these two colors do not have the nature of green from the beginning. If it existed from the beginning, what is the use of mixing? Son of the lineage, for example, sentient beings live by the cause of food, but in reality there is no life in food. If life originally existed in food, then when food is not eaten, the food itself should be able to survive. Son of the lineage, all dharmas originally have no self-nature, therefore, after observing that principle, these verses were spoken. There is no beginning but there is now, There is a beginning but there is not now, All dharmas that exist in the three times, There is no place that exists like that. Son of the lineage, all dharmas are born from cause and condition, and cease from cause and condition. Son of the lineage, if there is Buddha-nature in sentient beings, then all sentient beings should now have the body of a Buddha like me. The Buddha-nature of sentient beings is indestructible, not destructible, cannot be divided, cannot be grasped, cannot be bound, cannot be established, just as sentient beings have emptiness. Because there is no obstruction, all sentient beings have emptiness, but each cannot see their own emptiness. If sentient beings do not have emptiness, then there is no going and coming, no walking and staying, no sitting and lying down, and no birth and growth. Because that principle is like that.
