Thinking in his heart: When will I become a powerful king, ruling over everything? The great king succeeded just as he had thought. He became the king of the central region and also gained control of many treasure troves of jewels. Since he could enjoy happiness as he wished, he should not be oppressed by sorrow and suffer like this. The king said: Where can I find a way not to be sorrowful? Minister, for example, a foolish and ignorant person, because of greed for food, cannot even see sharp weapons. Just like putting poison in food and not knowing there is poison, I am like that too. For example, a deer sees grass but does not see the trap. For example, a mouse, greedy for food, does not see the cat, I am like that too, only seeing the present happiness, but not seeing the future ripening of non-virtuous results. I once heard from a wise and intelligent person that it is better to have three hundred Shakti arrows pierce the body in one day than to generate an evil thought towards one's parents for even a moment. Since I am so close to the burning flames of the hell of sentient beings, where can I find a way not to be sorrowful? That minister again reported: Who is it that deceives the king by saying that there is a hell of sentient beings? For example, thorns are naturally sharp, who sharpened them? Who made the feathers of birds turn yellow? Water is naturally moist, stone is naturally hard, wind is naturally moving, and fire is naturally hot. All these things are born and die by themselves, who made them? The so-called hell of sentient beings is also fabricated by those clever, intelligent, and eloquent people themselves. What is the meaning of the so-called hell? Minister, tell me. The so-called hell (Dmyal, Tibetan) is hell (Dmyal, Tibetan). The so-called "ba" (Ba, Tibetan) is to destroy (Bcom pa, Tibetan). Because hell is destroyed, and there is no ripening of sin, it is called the hell of sentient beings. Furthermore, the so-called "hell" (Dmyal, Tibetan) is man (Mi, Tibetan). The so-called "ba" (Ba, Tibetan) is a god (Lha, Tibetan). Killing the father and causing him to be reborn as a god and a man, therefore, it is also explained that the righteous man Vasu (Ba su, Tibetan) is like this: If the body is burned, one can be reborn as a god and a man.

English

It is called hell because it obtains happiness and pleasure. Furthermore, the word "hell" means life, and "hell" means long. Thus, if life is cut off, life will be prolonged, hence it is called hell. Therefore, great king, in truth, there is no such thing as sentient beings in hell. Great king, for example, if you plant barley seeds, barley will grow, and if you plant rice seeds, rice will grow. If you kill hell beings, you will still be reborn in hell. If you kill humans, you will surely be reborn as humans. Great king, listen to my words about "I." In truth, there is no such thing as killing. If "I" is something that exists, then it will not be killed. If "I" does not exist, then there is no killing. Why is that? If "I" exists, it is permanent, unchanging, and unmoving. Thus, because it is permanent, unchanging, and unmoving, it cannot be killed, and it is fearless, indestructible, unbound, without hatred, without joy, like the sky. How could there be the sin of killing? If "I" is something that does not exist, then all phenomena are impermanent. Thus, because it is impermanent, it is destroyed and ceases moment by moment. Thus, because it ceases moment by moment, killing and death also cease moment by moment. Thus, because it ceases moment by moment, who will experience the sin? Great king, for example, if fire burns wood, the fire has no sin. If an axe cuts down a tree, the axe has no sin. If a sickle cuts grass, the sickle has no sin. If a sword kills a person, the sword is not a person, and if the sword has no sin, why would the person have sin? If poison kills a person, the poison is also not a person, and if the poison has no sin, why would the person have sin? All things are the same as this, therefore, if there is truly no killing, why would there be sin? Great king, do not grieve. Why is that? Whatever sorrows are constantly made, Sorrow becomes a field for rebirth. Just as one delights in sleep, Again, the field becomes much sleep. Likewise, greed and craving, And great faith in alcohol should also be understood. As the king said, there is no skilled physician in the world who can purify my sinful deeds!
