This entanglement, why did it become like this? Why is the king's body now uncomfortable, shaking, and trembling? It's like the wind fiercely beating the trees full of flowers. What is the reason for the king's extreme melancholy? It's like farmers feeling sad when it doesn't rain after sowing seeds. Is this sadness in the body or in the heart? The king said: How could I have a reason for not being sick in body and mind? The king, my father, loved me very much and was without fault. When I was first shown to a fortune-teller, the fortune-teller said: This son of yours will kill his father after he is born. Although I heard those words, I was still raised. I had previously heard from wise and knowledgeable people that if someone engages in impure conduct with his mother, engages in impure conduct with a bhikkhuni, steals the property of the Sangha, kills someone who has generated the mind of unsurpassed Bodhi, or commits patricide, then that person will undoubtedly fall into the Avici hell. Having heard these things, how could I now have a reason for not being sick in body and mind? The great minister said: Great King, do not grieve for the time being. The king, your father, is someone who diligently practices the path of liberation, and if he is killed, it will become a sin. If he is killed for the sake of the king's rule, it will not become a sin. Great King, what is not Dharma is called not Dharma, and the absence of Dharma is also called the absence of Dharma, just as the absence of a son is called the absence of a son. Having a bad son is also called not having a son, and although it is said that there is no son, in reality it is not that there is no son. For example, if there is no salt in food, it is said that there is no salt, and if there is no salty taste, it is also said that there is no salt. For example, if there is no water, it is said that there is no water, and if there is a little water, it is also said that there is no water. For example, what disappears in an instant is called impermanent, and even if it lasts until the end of the kalpa, it is called impermanent. For example, if someone experiences suffering, it is said that there is no happiness, and even if they experience a little joy, it is said that there is no happiness. For example, what is not controlled is called arrogance.

It is like saying "there is none," even if there is a little power, do not have arrogance. For example, it is like saying "when it is dark, there is no sun," even if the sun is covered by clouds, it cannot be said that there is no sun. Even if the great king has a little Dharma, it cannot be said that there is no Dharma, but in reality, it is not that there is no Dharma. Great King, please listen to what I say. All sentient beings have residual karma, and due to the power of karma, they repeatedly revolve in samsara. If the king's father also has residual karma, then even if the king kills him, it will not become a sin. Great King, please temporarily stop grieving. Why? Because always grieving, grief will become the field for generating grief. Just like liking to sleep, one will also become more fond of sleeping. Similarly, one should also understand that greed and attachment, as well as strong faith in alcohol, are also like this. As the king said, it cannot be said that there are no skilled doctors in the world who can cure physical and mental illnesses. Now the great teacher, the son of Berata, named Kun Jya, is omniscient, all-seeing, his wisdom is as deep and vast as the ocean, he possesses great splendor, he possesses great supernatural powers, and he can completely liberate all sentient beings from the net of doubt. All the dharmas that sentient beings do not know, do not see, and do not understand, only the great teacher can know and see, and now he resides in Rajagriha, teaching the Dharma to many attendants. Among the many retinues, if the king has power, he can do good and evil deeds at will, and even if he does many evil deeds, it will not become an unforgivable sin. For example, when a great fire burns, there is no distinction between clean and unclean, and the king is also like this. For example, the great earth is the place that accommodates all clean and unclean things, and even if one does such things, there is no hatred or joy. The great king is also like the great earth, there is no hatred or joy. For example, water and rivers wash away all clean and unclean things, but they have no joy or displeasure, and the great king is also like water. For example, the wind blows away all clean and unclean things.
