Thus, one should contemplate the Dharma spoken by the departed. The Dharma spoken by the Blessed One is supreme and excellent. Because Dharma is the cause, individual beings also manifestly attain the result. This sole sacred Dharma is without time or limit, for it is seen with the eye of Dharma, not with the eye of flesh. It cannot be exemplified or compared, for it is unborn, unarisen, non-abiding, non-ceasing, without beginning, without end, uncompounded, uncountable, becoming the place of the placeless, the refuge of the refuge-less, the appearance of the unmanifest, ferrying those who have not gone to the other shore, the scent of the scentless, unimpeded, seeing the invisible, unmoving, unchanging, not long, not short, completely severing bliss yet reaching the end of perfect bliss. It is not form, not the cessation of form, nor is it form, up to and including not consciousness, not the cessation of consciousness, nor is it consciousness. It is not action, not the cessation of action, nor is it action. It is not affliction, not the non-severance of affliction, nor is it affliction. It is not a thing, not the cessation of a thing, nor is it a thing. It is not a realm, not the cessation of a realm, nor is it a realm. It is not existence, not the cessation of existence, nor is it existence. It is not a source of birth, not the cessation of a source of birth, nor is it a source of birth. It is not a cause, not the cessation of a cause, nor is it a cause. It is not a result, not the cessation of a result, nor is it a result. It is not falsehood, not the severance of all falsehood, nor is it falsehood. It is not truth, not the severance of all truth, nor is it truth. It is not birth, not cessation, completely severing birth and cessation, nor is it cessation. It is not a sign, nor is it a non-sign, severing all signs, nor is it a sign. It is not a demonstrator, nor is it a non-demonstrator, severing all demonstrators, nor is it a demonstrator. It is not fear, not bliss, severing all fears, nor is it bliss. It is not patience, not impatience, severing all impatience, nor is it patience. It is not quiescence, nor is it non-quiescence, severing all quiescence, nor is it quiescence. All dharmas

As for reaching the summit, all afflictions are completely severed, completely purified, without characteristics, completely liberated from characteristics, becoming the ultimate refuge for immeasurable beings, pacifying all the burning flames of samsara, being the place of play for all Buddhas, and being constant and unchanging mindfulness. This is called the Bodhisattva's mindfulness of the Dharma. So, how does one recollect the Sangha? The noble Sangha of the Buddhas abides in accordance with the Dharma, upholds the correct teachings, practices in accordance with yoga, is not to be despised, cannot be grasped, cannot be destroyed, cannot be harmed, is inconceivable, becomes the field of merit for all beings to accumulate virtue, even though it becomes a field of merit, it does not grasp, is completely pure, without turbidity, without leakage, unconditioned, vast, limitless, the mind is extremely tamed, equanimous, non-dual, without sorrow, and constant and unchanging. This is called the recollection of the Sangha. So, how does one recollect the precepts? The Bodhisattva, mindful of having precepts, is therefore fearless, without leakage, without decline, without mixture, even though having attained the formless realm, still diligently guards, even though there is no tangible object, still upholds the complete precepts with extremely skillful means, without the defilement of faults, praised and extolled by the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, extremely vast, becoming the cause of complete great Nirvana. Son of good family, for example, the great earth, a boat, a raft, a great mountain, the ocean, the essence of ashes, a house, a sword, a bridge, a doctor skilled in medicine, good medicine, ointment, a wish-fulfilling jewel, hands and feet, eyes, parents, and a shadow, will never be taken away, will not be harmed, will not be burned by fire, will not be washed away by water, like a ladder to climb a high mountain, like the precious and supreme banner of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. If one abides in this discipline, I also have the opportunity to obtain the fruit of stream-entry, but I do not desire it. Why is that? If one attains stream-entry
