Thinking of attaining enlightenment. If at that time there is a renunciate, or a Brahmin, or a god, or a demon, or Brahma, or any being including humans who says that the Thus-Gone One practices asceticism in the past, future, and present, that is not possible. Noble son, furthermore, the so-called "originally existing" means that I originally had a body nourished by food. Because there is a body nourished by food, there is now no infinite body. The so-called "originally non-existent" means that originally there were no thirty-seven factors of enlightenment. Because there are no thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, there is now a body nourished by food. If at that time there is a renunciate, or a Brahmin, or a god, or a demon, or Brahma, or any being including humans who says that the Thus-Gone One has a body nourished by food in the past, future, and present, that is not possible. Noble son, furthermore, the so-called "originally existing" means that when I first received all the teachings in the past, I had a mind of attachment, therefore there is now no Samadhi of ultimate emptiness. The so-called "originally non-existent" means that originally there was no true meaning of the Middle Way. Because there is no true meaning of the Middle Way, there is no unattached mind towards all phenomena. If at that time there is a renunciate, or a Brahmin, or a god, or a demon, or Brahma, or any being including humans who says that the Thus-Gone One has characteristics of attachment to all phenomena in the past, future, and present, that is not possible. Noble son, furthermore, the so-called "originally existing" means that when I attained unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment in the past, there were dull-witted Hearers as attendants. Because there were dull-witted Hearers as attendants, there is no truth of the One Vehicle alone. The so-called "originally non-existent" means that originally there were no sharp-witted people, like the bodhisattva Light Protector and others, who are like the king of white yaks among humans. Because there are no sharp-witted people like Light Protector, the teachings are skillfully divided into three vehicles according to different situations. If at that time there is a renunciate, or a Brahmin, or a god, or a demon, or Brahma, or any being including humans who says that the Thus-Gone One
