Destroys the existence of the third dhyana. By obtaining the Samadhi of Rainfall, the existence of the fourth dhyana is destroyed. By obtaining the Samadhi like the sky, the existence of non-perception is destroyed. By obtaining the Samadhi like a mirror, the existence of the Pure Abode once returning is destroyed. By obtaining the Samadhi without attachment, the existence above the Sphere of Infinite Space is destroyed. By obtaining the Samadhi of permanence, the existence above the Sphere of Infinite Consciousness is destroyed. By obtaining the Samadhi of joy, the existence above the Sphere of Nothingness is destroyed. By obtaining the Samadhi of self, the existence above the Sphere of Neither Perception nor Non-Perception is destroyed. Sons of good family, these are the twenty-five Samadhis obtained by Bodhisattvas, which are said to destroy twenty-five existences. Sons of good family, these twenty-five Samadhis are called the King of Samadhis. Sons of good family, when Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas enter these Kings of Samadhis, even if they wish to destroy Mount Sumeru, the king of mountains, they can destroy it as they wish. If they wish to know the thoughts of all sentient beings in the three thousand great thousand worlds, they will know them as they wish. If they wish to have all sentient beings dwelling in the three thousand great thousand worlds enter a single pore of their body, it will be as they wish, without any feeling of crowding or pricking. If they wish to emanate countless sentient beings and fill the entire three thousand great thousand worlds, it will be as they wish. Whether they wish to have one body become many bodies, or many bodies become one body, it will be as they wish. Although they can change in this way, their minds are not attached to anything, like a lotus flower. Sons of good family, when Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas enter that King of Samadhi, they will also abide in the ground of mastery. Bodhisattvas abiding in the ground of mastery, because they possess the power of mastery, can be born as they wish, wherever they wish to be born. Sons of good family, for example,

If a Chakravartin King wishes to go to the four continents, he can do so as he pleases, without any obstruction. Likewise, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is the same; wherever he wishes to be born, he will be born there as he pleases. Son of good family, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is able to establish beings dwelling in hell in the root of virtue, the Bodhisattva will be born there. Although the Bodhisattva is born there, it is not the result of previous karma, but the cause and condition of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abiding in the ground of mastery that causes him to be born there. Son of good family, although the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva dwells in hell, he does not experience the suffering of hell, such as being cut apart. Son of good family, the spontaneously accomplished qualities of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva are also immeasurable and incalculable; even after hundreds of thousands of millions of kalpas, they cannot be completely described. What need is there to mention the qualities of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat? At that time, in that assembly's mandala, a Bodhisattva named Immaculate Essence King, who possessed great splendor and supernormal knowledge, had obtained great dharanis, possessed perfect samadhi, and had obtained fearlessness, arose from his seat, arranged his upper robe over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and said to the Bhagavat: "Bhagavat, just as the Bhagavat has said, the qualities and wisdom of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are immeasurable and incalculable; even after hundreds of thousands of millions of kalpas, they cannot be completely described. As I have contemplated, if this is combined with the Mahayana sutras, is it not so? What is the reason for this? Because, through the power of the Mahayana's extremely extensive sutras, the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, arises and is born from it." Then, the Bhagavat gave his approval, saying, "Well done! Well done! Son of good family, it is just so. It is just so, just as you have said. Therefore, it is the Mahayana."
