Initially, starting from learning, one can become a scholar in three or five years, so it is said to be permanent. World Honored One, learning arithmetic is also one becoming two, two becoming three, up to hundreds and thousands. If it were not permanent, then the initial one would not exist. If the initial one did not exist, how could it become two? Thus, one is permanent, not two. Because one has not disappeared, it changes from two to hundreds and thousands, therefore it is permanent. World Honored One, for example, reading scriptures or reciting, like Agama one, Agama two, Agama three, reciting up to four. If it were not permanent, then reading and reciting would not reach four, because reading and reciting increase and arise, so it is said to be permanent. World Honored One, all things such as pots, clothes, carts, the formation of debts, the characteristics of the great earth, mountains, water, forests, leaves of trees, and the healing of diseases of sentient beings are all permanent, just like that. World Honored One, all non-Buddhists say that all conditioned phenomena are permanent. If all conditioned phenomena are permanent, then it would become the correct truth. World Honored One, some non-Buddhists also say that happiness exists. If asked how they know, they answer that it is for the sake of experiencing satisfying fruits. World Honored One, experiencing happiness certainly exists. For example, the Great Brahma King, the Great自在(dbang bsgyur chen po, not found, not found, Great自在), Indra, those in meditative absorption, gods, humans, and so on, therefore happiness certainly exists. World Honored One, some non-Buddhists also say that happiness exists, and that is the arising of the mind of beings hoping and seeking. For example, hunger seeking food, thirst seeking water, cold seeking warmth, heat desiring coolness, fatigue desiring rest, sickness desiring healing, desire seeking form. If happiness did not exist, then why would they seek it? Because there is seeking, it is evident that happiness exists. World Honored One, some non-Buddhists also say that giving alms brings happiness, worldly people to monks or Brahmins...

Or, if one gives clothes, food, drink, bedding, medicine for sickness, yaks, elephants, horses, vehicles, incense powder, flowers, houses, dwellings, lamps, and so on to the poor, one will experience satisfying results in the next life. Therefore, happiness certainly exists. World Honored One, some non-Buddhists also say this: Because of cause and condition, happiness exists. For example, experiencing happiness also has cause and condition, therefore it is called touching happiness. If there is no happiness, where would cause and condition be? For example, if there is no rabbit's horn, there would be no cause and condition either. Because there is cause and condition for happiness, happiness exists. World Honored One, some non-Buddhists also say this: Because of superior, middling, and inferior, happiness exists. The lowest experience of happiness is Indra, the lord of the gods. The middle experience of happiness is the Great Brahma, the king of the gods. The highest experience of happiness is the Great Isvara. Thus, because there are superior, middling, and inferior, happiness exists. World Honored One, some non-Buddhists say that purity exists. Why is that? If purity did not exist, the arising of desire would also be impossible. Because of the arising of desire, it is believed that purity exists. Some also say this: Gold, silver, beryl, crystal, ashmagarbha, musaragalva, coral, pearl, crystal cloth, necklaces, rivers, springs, bathing ponds, food, drink, clothes, flowers, incense, incense powder, perfume, illuminating lamps, and so on, all are of the nature of complete purity. They say this. Others also say this: The five aggregates are pure vessels, and they are completely filled with pure essence. For example, gods, humans, sages, arhats, solitary Buddhas, bodhisattvas, and Buddhas, because the matter is so, they are pure. They say this. World Honored One, some non-Buddhists say that there is something called "self," they say: What is seen and what is done is
