Understanding the aggregates as suffering is called intermediate wisdom. Dividing the characteristics of the aggregates into countless types, and knowing that all are suffering, which is not the realm of knowledge for hearers and solitary realizers, is called excellent wisdom. Son of good family, I have not spoken of these meanings even in the sutras. Son of good family, knowing entry is also called a door, and also called suffering, which is called intermediate wisdom. Dividing the characteristics into various types, all are suffering. That which is not the realm of knowledge for hearers and solitary realizers is called excellent wisdom. I have not spoken of these meanings in those sutras either.

That which is not that is called supreme wisdom. Son of lineage, I have not spoken of this meaning even in those sutras. Son of lineage, knowing the characteristic of distinguishing consciousness is called intermediate wisdom. For consciousness, dividing the characteristic of knowing into various forms, that which is not the characteristic of knowing by hearers and self-enlightened ones is called supreme wisdom. Son of lineage, I have not spoken of this meaning even in those sutras. The Noble Great Nirvana Sutra, Volume Eighteen. Son of lineage, knowing that the five aggregates arise from the cause of desire is called intermediate wisdom. Even if the desire of one person arises, it is not known by the hearers and self-enlightened ones who are immeasurable and boundless. Knowing all the desires that arise in all sentient beings is called supreme wisdom. I have not spoken of this meaning even in those sutras. Son of lineage, knowing the cessation of afflictions is called intermediate wisdom. Afflictions are also inconceivable, and cessation is also similarly divided inconceivably. That which is not the realm of knowing by hearers and self-enlightened ones is called supreme wisdom. I have not spoken of this meaning even in those sutras. Son of lineage, knowing the abandonment of afflictions by the characteristic of the path is called intermediate wisdom. Son of lineage, the characteristic of the path is also immeasurable and boundless, and the afflictions to be abandoned are also divided immeasurably and boundlessly. That which is not the realm of knowing by hearers and self-enlightened ones is called supreme wisdom. I have not spoken of this meaning even in those sutras. Son of lineage, knowing the conventional truth is called intermediate wisdom. Dividing the conventional truth immeasurably, boundlessly, and inconceivably, that which is not the realm of knowing by hearers and self-enlightened ones is called supreme wisdom. I have not spoken of this meaning even in those sutras. Son of lineage, knowing that all conditioned things are impermanent, all phenomena are without self, and nirvana is peaceful ultimate reality, is called intermediate wisdom. Knowing the ultimate reality immeasurably, boundlessly, and inconceivably, hearers and self-enlightened ones
