Furthermore, there are twelve aspects: the ten powers, great loving-kindness, and great compassion. Furthermore, there are thirteen aspects: the ten powers, great loving-kindness, great compassion, and the samadhi of recollecting the Buddha. Furthermore, there are sixteen aspects: the ten powers, great loving-kindness, great compassion, the samadhi of recollecting the Buddha, and the three correct mindfulnesses attained by the Buddha. Furthermore, there are twenty aspects: the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, great loving-kindness, great compassion, the samadhi of recollecting the Buddha, and the three correct mindfulnesses. Son of the lineage, these paths are actually one entity; the Thus-Gone One previously spoke of various aspects for the sake of sentient beings. Son of the lineage, just as fire is actually one thing, but becomes many fires due to burning. For example, fire of wood, fire of grass, fire of chaff, fire of horse dung, and fire of cow dung, thus many names are established. Son of the lineage, the path of the Buddha is also similar to that, actually one and not two, but for the sake of sentient beings, various aspects are separated. Son of the lineage, furthermore, just as consciousness is one, but is divided into six aspects, it is taught that in the case of the eye, it is called eye consciousness, and from eye consciousness to mind consciousness, it should be understood in detail in that way. Son of the lineage, The path is also similar to that, actually one and not two, but the Thus-Gone One separated and taught various aspects in order to tame sentient beings. Son of the lineage, furthermore, just as form is one, but when seen by the eye it is called form, when heard by the ear it is established as sound, when smelled by the nose it is called odor, when tasted by the tongue it is called taste, and when felt by the body it is established as touch. Son of the lineage, the path is also similar to that, actually one and not two, but for the sake of taming sentient beings, various aspects are separated and taught. Son of the lineage, therefore, the eight limbs of the noble path

I call it the truth of the Noble Path. Son of good family, the Buddha, the Bhagavan, gradually taught the Four Noble Truths. Through that cause and that condition, countless sentient beings were liberated from samsara. The Bodhisattva Light Protector asked the Buddha: Bhagavan, once in the past, you were dwelling in a grove called Shishu on the bank of the Ganges River. At that time, the Tathagata picked up a leaf from a tree with his hand and said to the monks: Are the leaves in my hand now many, or are the leaves of all the plants and so forth that grow relying on the earth many? The monks replied: The leaves of the plants that grow relying on the earth are exceedingly many, immeasurable. The leaves held in the Tathagata's hand are very few, not worth mentioning. The Buddha said: Monks, all the dharmas that I have realized are like the leaves of the plants and so forth that grow relying on the great earth. What is taught to sentient beings is like the leaf held in the hand. If, Bhagavan, what you said at that time was the immeasurable dharma realized by the Tathagata, if it is included in the Four Noble Truths, then the Tathagata has already said it before. If it is not included, then there would be Five Noble Truths. Then, the Bhagavan said to the Bodhisattva Light Protector: Well done, well done! Son of good family, it is good that you have asked in this way for the benefit and happiness of countless sentient beings! Son of good family, all dharmas are included in the Four Noble Truths. Light Protector asked again: If all dharmas are included in the Four Noble Truths, then why did the Tathagata only mention it briefly and not explain it in detail? The Bhagavan replied: Son of good family, although it is included therein, it cannot be said to have been taught and explained. Why is that? Son of good family, there are two kinds of wisdom for realizing the Noble Truths, namely, intermediate and supreme. Intermediate is the wisdom of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. Supreme is the wisdom of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Son of good family, the aggregates
