Yes. The Tathagata is not a god. False sorrow is not a human, the Tathagata is not a human. Those with false sorrow are the twenty-five existences, the Tathagata is not the twenty-five existences. Therefore, the Tathagata does not have false sorrow, why proclaim and say that the Tathagata has false sorrow? The Blessed One said: Son of good family, the god of the realm of non-perception is called non-perception. If there is no perception, then there is no life force. If there is no life force, where would there be aggregates, elements, and sense bases? Therefore, it cannot be said that the life force of the god of non-perception dwells here. Son of good family, for example, like a tree god, although dwelling in a tree, it cannot be said to necessarily dwell in a branch, burl, trunk, or leaf. Although the dwelling place is uncertain, it cannot be said that it does not exist. The life force of the god of non-perception is also like that. Son of good family, the Buddha's Dharma is also like that, it is very profound and difficult to understand. Although the Tathagata does not have false sorrow and suffering, in order to generate great compassion for sentient beings, he shows that he has false sorrow, and views sentient beings as Rahula. Furthermore, son of good family, the life force of the god of non-perception is only known by the Buddha, others cannot understand or know it. The gods of the realm of neither perception nor non-perception are also like that. O Wise One, the nature of the Tathagata is completely pure and without attachment, like an emanation, where would there be false sorrow and suffering? If the Tathagata has no sorrow, how can he benefit all sentient beings and extensively propagate the Buddha's Dharma? If it is not like that, why does he view all sentient beings as the son Rahula? If he does not view all sentient beings as the son Rahula, then saying that would also be false. Therefore, son of good family, the Buddha is also inconceivable, the Dharma is also inconceivable, the Buddha-nature of sentient beings

Moreover, it is inconceivable. The lifespan of the gods of the realm of non-perception is also inconceivable. To say that the Tathagata has sorrow, and to say that he has no sorrow, is the realm of activity of the Buddhas; it is not something that shravakas and pratyekabuddhas can know. Son of good family, for example, in empty space, houses and fine dust particles do not arise. If one says that a house does not rely on space, that is also without foundation. Therefore, it is not appropriate to say that a house dwells in space or does not dwell in space. Foolish ordinary people say that a house dwells in space, but in reality, space has no dwelling. Why is that? Because it dwells by its very nature. Son of good family, the mind is also like that; it is not appropriate to say that it dwells in or does not dwell in the aggregates, elements, and sense bases. The lifespan of the gods of the realm of non-perception is also like that; similarly, the sorrow of the Tathagata is also like that. If there is no sorrow, why does he say that he sees beings as Rahula? If there is sorrow, why does he say that his nature is like space? Son of good family, for example, if a magician creates houses, killings, resurrections, bindings, releases, and also gold, silver, vaidurya, various kinds of jewels, forests, trees, and so on, those things have no true nature. The Tathagata is also like that; he shows sorrow and so on in accordance with the world, but it is not the truth. Son of good family, if the Tathagata is completely liberated from sorrow, where would there be sorrow and suffering? If someone thinks that the Tathagata is completely liberated from sorrow and is impermanent, then that person should be known to be with sorrow. If someone thinks that the Tathagata is not liberated from sorrow and is permanent, abiding, and unchanging, then that person is without sorrow. It is not possible to know whether the Tathagata has sorrow or does not have sorrow. Furthermore, son of good family, for example, a base person does not know the dharma of a middling or superior person. A middling person also does not know the dharma of a superior person. A superior person is the superior dharma.
