Sindhu. If a Bodhisattva listens to this sutra or upholds it, they will become the foremost of all sentient beings, become a leader, become supreme. Therefore, this sutra is the leader of all, supreme, and becomes the foremost, hence it is called U. That which is called U is like the best of all milks, like the best of cow's milk, so is the nature of the Tathagata, it is the same. Among all the sutras, it is the chief, the supreme, and the foremost. Whoever reviles or slanders this should be known as no different from an animal. Furthermore, that which is called U is because that person lacks the wisdom of correct mindfulness, and because they revile and slander the secret essence of the Tathagata, that person should be known as an object of great compassion, because they are separated from the teaching of selflessness, the secret essence of the Tathagata, therefore it is called U. That which is called E is the Dharma-nature of the Buddha, Nirvana, therefore it is called E. That which is called E is the meaning of the Tathagata. Furthermore, that which is called AI is that the Tathagata, whether going, staying, sitting, lying down, contracting, stretching, moving, or shaking, in all times and places, does not change from benefiting and bringing happiness to individual beings, that is AI. That which is called O is the meaning of affliction. Affliction is that which is with outflows. The Tathagata has completely cut off all afflictions, therefore it is called O. That which is called AU is the meaning of the Great Vehicle, it is the meaning of the complete perfection of the fourteen letters. The Great Vehicle sutras are also the same, among all the sutras it is the supreme of complete perfection, therefore it is called AU. That which is called AM is the removal of all unexamined impure things, and in the teachings of the Buddha, one is able to give up all precious things such as gold and silver, therefore it is called AM. That which is called AH is the meaning of the supreme vehicle. Why is that? Because this Great Vehicle sutra, the Great Nirvana, is the chief, the supreme, and the foremost among all the sutras, therefore it is called AH. That which is called KA is the arising of compassion for all sentient beings, like Rahula, considering them as one's own children, and
