Those with vidyā-mantras, outcastes, those without faculties, hermaphrodites, those of uncertain sex, those with incomplete faculties, and so forth, if one says that the Tathāgata allowed all of them to be ordained, that is what is taught by Māra. Formerly, what the Blessed One allowed to be eaten were the five transformations from cow's milk, grain oil, honey, and so forth, and to wear garments of kauśeya (silk) and shoes of yurduma, and other than those, if one also says, "Was mahāliṅga also allowed to be worn?" or "Were all seeds allowed to be eaten?" or "The Buddha said that all things such as grass and trees have life and then passed into nirvāṇa," if such things appear in the sūtras and vinaya, one should know that it is taught by Māra. The Buddha never allowed standing on one foot at all times; for the sake of the Dharma, he allowed walking, standing, sitting, and sleeping. Other than that, eating poison, not eating food, burning the body with five kinds of heat, binding hands and feet, killing sentient beings, practicing vidyā-mantras, conches, making shoes from the teeth of cows, eating seeds, saying that plants have life, and not allowing the wearing of mahāliṅga, if one says, "The Blessed One allowed it," saying so, that is a follower of the tirthikas, not a close attendant of the Buddha. What the Buddha allowed were the five transformations from cow's milk, grain oil, honey, and so forth, and to wear kauśeya (silk) and shoes of yurduma. The Buddha said that the four great elements have no life, and what appears in the sūtras and vinaya in this way is called what is taught by the Buddha. Therefore, following the teachings of the Buddha is my true attendant. If one does not follow the teachings of the Buddha, that is called belonging to the retinue of Māra. If one enters the sūtras and vinaya taught by the Buddha, one should know that one is a Bodhisattva Mahāsattva. Son of good family, this is the detailed explanation for you of the difference and distinction between what is taught by Māra and what is spoken by the Buddha. Bodhisattva Light Protector.

He further reported: "World Honored One, I wish to seek the distinctive characteristics between what is taught by Mara and what is spoken by the Buddha. In this way, I will also be able to realize the profound Dharma of the Buddha." The World Honored One said to Light Protector: "Excellent! Excellent! Son of noble family, if you can so distinctly differentiate and clearly understand, you will be called a wise and intelligent person. Son of noble family, suffering cannot be called a noble truth. Why is that? If suffering were to be called the noble truth of suffering, then cows, sheep, donkeys, horses, and even sentient beings in the hell realms would also have noble truths. Son of noble family, if someone thinks of the Tathagata's profound realm of activity, the eternal, abiding, and unchanging Dharmakaya, as a body nourished by food, and does not consider it the Dharmakaya, and does not understand the qualities, splendor, and greatness of the Tathagata, that is called suffering. Why is that? Because of not knowing, they see what is Dharma as not Dharma, and what is not Dharma as Dharma. Therefore, that person will inevitably fall into the lower realms, wander in samsara, generate all kinds of afflictions, and experience great suffering. If someone knows that the Tathagata is eternal, abiding, unchanging, and unmoving, merely hearing the words 'eternal' and 'abiding' will cause them to be reborn in the heavens. Later, upon liberation, they will realize and know that the Tathagata is eternal, abiding, unchanging, and unmoving. Having realized and understood, they will say: 'I was previously liberated because I understood this meaning. From the beginning, because I did not know or understand, I wandered endlessly in samsara. Now I have come to know through correct wisdom.' Tenth Chapter. Thus, knowing through correct wisdom is called cultivating suffering, and it will become a great meaning of benefit and happiness. If someone does not understand in such a way, even if they make great effort, it will not become a meaning of benefit and happiness. Thus, one can understand suffering, which is called the noble truth of suffering. If someone makes effort in such a way,
