Through employing various methods, now I possess such incomparable skillful means! For the sake of you and others, I have completely given away bodily limbs such as hands, feet, heads, eyes, legs, and brains for immeasurable eons. Therefore, you should not be heedless! Monks, contemplate how to adorn the precious city of the true Dharma, possessing various precious qualities, and becoming like walls, moats, and watchtowers of morality, concentration, and wisdom! After encountering the precious city of the Buddha's Dharma, you have become a race that takes what is false and deceptive! Just as merchants who go to a true treasure island take back tiles and stones to their homes, you are the same, going to a treasure island and taking illusory things! Monks, do not generate a mind of timidity and contentment! Although you have renounced, you do not have faith in the Great Vehicle! Monks, although you wear robes of changed color, your minds are not attached to the completely pure Dharma of the Great Vehicle! Monks, although you go for alms and wander everywhere, you have not tasted the food of the Great Vehicle's Dharma! Monks, although you have shaved your hair and beards, you have not completely eliminated the defilements of the true Dharma! Monks, today, all of you gathered here, I truly declare to you with words! The characteristics of the Tathagata's Dharmas are true, they are not inverted. Therefore, with courageous and steadfast minds, strive to destroy defilements! If the sun of wisdom, endowed with the ten powers, sets, you will also be covered by ignorance! Monks, just as the plants and trees that grow on the great earth and mountains become the needs of sentient beings, my Dharma is also the same, it can generate the taste of Dharma like the nectar of utmost virtue, and it can also become medicine for various afflictive diseases of sentient beings! Today, here, I speak to all sentient beings and those who have become my sons.

Also, considering the fourfold assembly, I rejoice in the essence that was spoken, and abiding happily therein, I shall completely pass beyond sorrow. What is this essence that was spoken with this in mind? For example, like the letter "ཨི་" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal Chinese meaning), are three dots placed directly? If separated, it will not become "ཨི" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal Chinese meaning). If, like the eye of the Great Lord, it is placed as three masculine symbols, it will become "ཨི" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal Chinese meaning). But it is not from separating the three dots individually. I am also like that, the Dharma of liberation will not pass beyond sorrow. The body of the Tathagata will not pass beyond sorrow. The Prajnaparamita will not pass beyond sorrow, nor is it from separating these three Dharmas individually that one passes beyond sorrow. I abide in these three Dharmas, and for the sake of sentient beings, I am called passing beyond sorrow, just as in the world it is known as the letter "ཨི་" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal Chinese meaning). At that time, the monks, hearing that the Buddha, the Bhagavan, would surely completely pass beyond sorrow, were very unhappy. All the hairs on their bodies stood on end, and their eyes filled with tears. They bowed their heads to the feet of the Buddha, circumambulated him countless times, and then said to the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan, you have well taught impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness. Bhagavan, for example, among all footprints, the footprint of the ox is the best. The perception of impermanence is also like that, it is the best among all perceptions. If one diligently strives in this, one can make all the desires of the desire realm, the desires of the form and formless realms, ignorance,
