Where did it go? The Blessed One is also the same. Having comprehended all the Dharmas in his heart, he became weary of the Dharma. If the Tathagata were to remain in the world for a long time, teaching the Dharma like nectar, satisfying everyone, wouldn't all sentient beings fall into the hell of sentient beings? Blessed One, for example, a person is seized from the midst of his work and imprisoned. If someone asks him, 'What are you doing here?' he would answer, 'I am experiencing great suffering, and if I could be freed from this, I would be very happy.' The Blessed One is also like that. He performs difficult practices for our sake. If we are not liberated from the afflictions of samsara, how can the Tathagata be happy? Blessed One, for example, a very skilled doctor only teaches the secret medical formulas to his son, but not to other students. The Blessed One is also like that. The very profound essence spoken after careful consideration was only taught to Manjushri, but not to us. The Tathagata is like a doctor who only teaches his son, but not other students. The Tathagata is not jealous of all Dharmas. That doctor did not teach everyone equally because he secretly taught with love and hatred. If the Tathagata's mind has no love and hatred, why didn't he teach us? Blessed One, please remain in the world for a long time and do not pass into nirvana! Blessed One, for example, an old man or a young man, suffering from illness, abandons the good path and takes a dangerous path with cliffs, he will experience great suffering. Then, if someone sees him and, out of compassion, points out the good path without danger. Blessed One, we are also like that. Among them, the so-called young man is a metaphor for not having generated the body of a being possessing Dharma; the so-called old man is a metaphor for great afflictions; being sick is a metaphor for not being liberated from samsara; the path with cliffs is a metaphor for the twenty-five existences. Blessed One, please correctly point out the path of nectar to us and do not pass into nirvana, please

Please remain here for a long time! Then, the Blessed One addressed the assembly of monks, saying: "O monks, do not grieve and weep like inferior children or gods and humans, but strive to establish mindfulness properly. At that time, the gods, humans, asuras, and others, hearing the Blessed One's instruction not to weep, felt as if someone had lost a son and, immediately after announcing the son's death, was told not to weep. Then, the Blessed One addressed the large assembly with verses: Each of you should generate joy, do not grieve excessively, for it is the nature of all Buddhas. Therefore, remain silent without speaking. Be inclined to practice with mindfulness, protect your mind with correct mindfulness, completely abandon what is not Dharma, generate joy, and be delighted. Furthermore, O monks, if you have any doubts or uncertainties, ask and inquire about everything. If you have doubts about emptiness and non-emptiness, permanence and impermanence, suffering and non-suffering, place and non-place, gone and not gone, future and non-future, enduring and non-enduring, annihilation and permanence, sentient beings and non-sentient beings, existence and non-existence, truth and untruth, correctness and incorrectness, cessation and non-cessation, secret and non-secret, duality and non-duality, and so on, now is the time to ask. Whatever you ask, I will dispel your doubts. I have already taught you the Dharma like nectar, and you should initially be completely liberated from suffering. O monks, it is very rare for a Buddha to appear in the world, it is very difficult to obtain a human body, it is very difficult to meet a Buddha and generate faith, it is very difficult to endure what is difficult to endure, it is very difficult to perfect moral discipline without breaking or diminishing it, and it is very difficult to attain the fruit of an Arhat, just like searching for a Sal tree or an Udumbara flower. O monks, having separated from the eight unfavorable conditions and obtained the difficult-to-obtain human body, if you meet me and waste it meaninglessly, it would be a great pity! I have previously endured hardships
