According to what the Bhagavan said, the fruits of the two kinds of giving are not different, that is not right. Why is that? In the past, when giving was received, afflictions had not yet been abandoned, the wisdom of omniscience had not been perfected, and the perfection of giving of sentient beings had not been accomplished. Giving after giving, afflictions have been abandoned, the wisdom of omniscience has been completely perfected, and the perfection of giving of sentient beings has also been completely accomplished. In the past, what was received was a sentient being. Later, what was received was the god of gods. In the past, what was received was a body mixed with food, a body accompanied by afflictions, a body with outflows, an impermanent body. Later, what was received was a body without afflictions, a vajra-like body, a dharma body, a permanent body, an infinite body. Why then is it said that the fruits of the two kinds of giving are not different? In the past, what was received did not lead to the perfection of the perfection of giving, nor to the perfection of the perfection of wisdom. Only a flesh eye was obtained, but not the eye of a Buddha, nor the eye of wisdom. Later, what was received led to the perfection of the perfection of giving, and to the perfection of the perfection of wisdom. One possessed the eye of a Buddha, and possessed the eye of wisdom. Why then is it said that the fruits of the two kinds of giving are not different? Bhagavan, in the past, when giving was received, immediately upon receiving it, one was satisfied, and immediately obtained longevity, complexion, strength, happiness, and individual correct knowledge. Later, when giving was received, there was neither supplication nor request, nor were there the five fruits. Why then is it said that the fruits of the two kinds of giving are not different? The Bhagavan said: Son of good family, the Thus-Gone One is not a body of food or accompanied by afflictions for immeasurable, boundless, countless eons. It is not the last body within, but is permanent.

The body of. Dharmakaya. Vajra body. Son of lineage, not seeing the Buddha's nature is the body of affliction. The body with food. The last body within. When the Bodhisattva receives alms, he enters into samadhi like a vajra, and immediately after receiving alms, he sees the Buddha's nature. Manifestly attains the supreme perfect enlightenment. Therefore, I say that the fruits of the two gifts are not different. The first Bodhisattva also defeated the four demons. When I was in Nirvana, I also defeated the four demons, so I said that the fruits of the two gifts are not different. Although the Bodhisattva did not extensively explain the twelve sutras at that time, everything had already entered his mind, and when I was in Nirvana, I Extensively explained and taught for the sake of sentient beings, so there is no difference between the two gifts. Son of lineage, although the body of the Tathagata does not eat alms for immeasurable and countless kalpas, he said to the Shravakas: In the past, the Tathagata received the milk porridge offered by the two cowherd girls Nanda and Nandapala, and then manifested the supreme perfect enlightenment. Now I do not eat real food, but for the sake of the many entourages, I accept your last offering, but in reality, I have not eaten it. At that time, the entourage saw the Blessed One receiving Cunda's offering, and they were all overjoyed and praised Cunda in unison: Well done! Very good! Your name is true to its meaning. The name Cunda means one who is proficient in the true meaning. You have also accomplished great things today, so the name Cunda is derived from the meaning. In this life, you will gain great fame and benefit, and your wishes will be fulfilled, which is very rare. Although Cunda was born among humans, he has obtained the supreme bliss that is extremely difficult to obtain. Well done! Cunda is as rare in the world as the Udumbara flower. Buddha descends
