He requested, 'Please accept these.' At that time, from here to the east, beyond countless and immeasurable worlds like the sands of the Ganges, there was a Buddha-field named Delightful Sound, where a Buddha named Equal to Space resided, a Tathagata, Arhat, Samyaksaṃbuddha, complete in knowledge and conduct, Sugata, knower of the world, unsurpassed, tamer of beings, teacher of gods and humans, Buddha, Bhagavan. At that time, that Buddha said to his great attendant, 'Son of good family, go from here to the west, to a world called Sahā, where there is a Buddha named Shakyamuni, a Tathagata, Arhat, Samyaksaṃbuddha, complete in knowledge and conduct, Sugata, knower of the world, unsurpassed, tamer of beings, teacher of gods and humans, Buddha, Bhagavan, who will soon pass into complete nirvana. Son of good family, take this food from this world, which has a fragrant scent, is very delicious, pleasant, and comfortable, and offer it to that Buddha Bhagavan. That Bhagavan will partake of it and then pass into complete nirvana. Son of good family, it is time for you to pay homage to him and also ask about your doubts.' Then, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva named Immeasurable Body rose from his seat, bowed his head at the feet of the Buddha, circumambulated him three times, and together with countless and immeasurable Bodhisattvas, went from that Buddha-field to wherever the Sahā world was. At that time, the three-thousand great-thousand world system shook in six ways, and among the retinue, Brahma, Indra, the Four Great Kings, Mara Papiyas, Great Isvara, and others, seeing the earth quake, felt their hair stand on end, their tongues almost dried up, and they became terrified, preparing to leave, and the light and splendor of their bodies also disappeared. Then, Manjushri, who had become a youth, rose from his seat and said to the retinue:

He spoke thus to the mandala of attendants: "Sons of good family, do not be afraid! Do not be afraid! Why is that? From here to the east, beyond countless, immeasurable world realms like the sands of the Ganges, there is a world realm called Delightful Sound, where dwells a Buddha called Equal to Space, a Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, endowed with the thirty-two marks. There, a Bodhisattva named Immeasurable Body, together with countless Bodhisattva attendants, will come to this world to make offerings to the Tathagata. Because of the splendor and blessings of that Bodhisattva, even the light of your bodies will become invisible. Therefore, do not be afraid, but generate great joy!" At that time, all those mandala of attendants saw that Buddha and the many attendants from afar, just as one sees one's own reflection in a clear mirror. Then, Manjushri again said to the many attendants: "You see that Buddha just as you see this Buddha, and through the blessings of the Buddha, you also see countless other Buddhas dwelling in the ten directions." At that time, many mandala of attendants said to each other: "How amazing! How amazing! The world is empty! The world is empty! The Tathagata will soon pass into Nirvana." At that time, all the mandala of attendants saw the Bodhisattva Immeasurable Body and his attendants, like this: From each pore of that Bodhisattva grew a great lotus flower, and on each of those lotuses were seventy-eight thousand cities. Those cities were equal in width to Vaishali, and the walls and moats were adorned with the seven precious substances, with seven rows of precious tala trees erected. All the people dwelling there were exceedingly happy and joyful, and the roads of those cities were made of gold from the Jambu River, each road
