Among them, the initial virtue of those Shravakas is as follows: good conduct of body, good conduct of speech, and good conduct of mind. The intermediate virtue is to train in higher morality, mind, and wisdom. The final virtue is the door of liberation, emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness. Furthermore, the initial virtue is aspiration, diligence, and mindfulness. The intermediate virtue is mindfulness, samadhi, and one-pointedness of mind. The final virtue is wisdom, insight, and prajna. Furthermore, the initial virtue is unwavering faith in the Buddha. The intermediate virtue is unwavering faith in the Dharma. The final virtue is attaining results through unwavering faith in the Sangha. Furthermore, the initial virtue is listening to others. The intermediate virtue is proper attention. The final virtue is the noble right view. Furthermore, the initial virtue is completely knowing suffering and abandoning its origin. The intermediate virtue is cultivating the path. The final virtue is directly realizing cessation. These are the initial virtue, intermediate virtue, and final virtue of the Shravakas. Then, what are the initial virtue, intermediate virtue, and final virtue of the Bodhisattvas? Among them, the initial virtue is not abandoning the mind of enlightenment. The intermediate virtue is not desiring the lesser vehicle. The final virtue is fully ripening into omniscience. Furthermore, the initial virtue is great love with an equal mind towards all sentient beings.

It is the complete fulfillment of the six perfections, and it completely inclines towards omniscience. Furthermore, the initial virtue is to fully ripen sentient beings through the four objects of gathering. The intermediate virtue is to completely uphold the sacred Dharma without regard for body and life. The final virtue is to flawlessly protect from the fear of falling. Furthermore, the initial virtue is the conduct of a Bodhisattva, not abandoning the mind that is like the earth. The intermediate virtue is the stage of non-retrogression through the wisdom of entering and departing. The final virtue is being bound by one lifetime due to obtaining power. These are the initial virtue, intermediate virtue, and final virtue of the Bodhisattvas. Thus, Manjushri, the youthful one, taught the Dharma in that assembly of other non-Buddhists. The other five hundred non-Buddhists had Dharma eyes that were without dust, stainless, and completely pure. The other eight thousand non-Buddhists generated the mind of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Then, those five hundred emanations prostrated with their five limbs touching the ground, and in words, they also paid homage to the Buddha. They said, "We pay homage to the Buddha." Following them, in the manner of learning, all those other non-Buddhist retinues also prostrated with their five limbs touching the ground, and in words, they also paid homage to the Buddha. They said, "We pay homage to the Buddha." Indra, the lord of the gods, also gave them Mandarava flowers, saying, "With these, make offerings to the Bhagavan!" The fourth volume is complete. Then, Manjushri, the youthful one, surrounded by many retinues and guided in front, went to where the bamboo grove monastery was, and to where the Bhagavan was, and having arrived, he bowed his head at the feet of the Bhagavan and sat to one side. Those other non-Buddhist retinues also offered those Mandarava flowers to the Bhagavan, and then circumambulated the Bhagavan three times, and sat to one side. Then, through the blessings of Manjushri, the youthful one, those five hundred emanations said this to the Bhagavan:
