Noble son, for example, Mount Meru sinks eighty-four thousand yojanas below, and its height and width are also eighty-four thousand yojanas, noble son, it becomes a pile of barley, and the great Blue Neck Ocean is completely filled with ink. All the men, women, boys, and girls dwelling in the four continents become writers, even if they write letters equal to Mount Meru, boundless and limitless, noble son, I can count each of those letters, but noble son, I cannot count the accumulation of merit from alms. Noble son, for example, if all those writers become bodhisattvas abiding on the ten bhumis, then how much is the accumulation of merit of those abiding on the ten bhumis, that much is also the accumulation of merit from alms. Noble son, for example, I can count every grain of sand in the Blue Neck Ocean, but noble son, I cannot count the accumulation of merit from alms. Then, the Asura offering, with tears, a dark face, choked breath, and a hoarse voice, sighing, prayed to the great bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara, saying: What kind of offering did I and my retinue make, that I am bound in this very life? Then I searched for the son of the ten chariots, some umbrellas transformed into the shape of bees, some umbrellas into the shape of bumblebees, some umbrellas into the shape of pigs, and some umbrellas into the shape of humans. Although each umbrella existed in a shape different from the others, they could not be manifested. At that time, I subsequently contemplated and began to make offerings. At that time, the son of the ten chariots sought an opportunity, he split the seven mountains and departed, quickly fleeing to another direction, and spoke loudly to those royal families. Those kings heard that sound. Having heard it, they regained their breath and settled down. He said, "Are you alive or dead?" They said, "Bhagavan, we are alive." Then, that great hero destroyed all the doors and saw those copper caves. All the bound kings saw the great power and thought, "Either the Asura offering has died, the time of death has come; or the time has come for us to be killed." They thought this to each other. Then, they thought, "It is better for us to die on the battlefield than to die bound. If we die bound, we will lose the law of the royal family. If we die on the battlefield, we will be reborn in the heavens." They spoke to each other in this way. Then, all those great kings entered their respective palaces and prepared many chariot-pulling horses. When they had prepared the chariots and precious weapons, the son of the ten chariots transformed into the shape of a dwarf, wearing a piece of antelope skin.
