One also knows the names of those flowers. One can also perceive the smells of the bodies of the sons of gods, like this: One can also perceive the smell of the body of Indra, the lord of the gods. One knows that he is enjoying pleasure and delight in the excellent palace, or teaching the Dharma to the gods of the Thirty-Three in the Good Dharma Assembly Hall of the gods, or that he has come to the garden for pleasure. One can also perceive the individual smells of the bodies of the other sons of gods. One can also perceive the smells of the bodies of the daughters of gods and the consorts of gods. 妙香以及沉香之气, 种种花朵果实之香, 男女老少住于何处, 童男以及童女之气, 众生之气亦能如是知。 彼之住处亦由气而知, 轮王等亦由此而知晓, 威力轮王以及小国王, 如是童男以及童女等, 妻室眷属皆由气而知晓。 受用圆满种种珍宝等, 以及何者卧于地上之物, 以及成为珍宝之女等, 菩萨由此气而能知晓。 彼等所有之饰品为何, 身所佩戴种种之形色, 衣物以及花鬘涂香等, 菩萨由此气而能知晓。 如是站立以及坐卧等, 嬉戏欢喜威力与力量, 此殊胜之经谁所执持, 坚定者以彼鼻之威力知。 殊胜香料油气亦如是, 种种花朵果实之气味, 此气于何处有亦能知, 安住之时亦能一时知晓觉。 山之山脊种种之相中, 何处盛开众多旃檀花, 以及何者众生住于彼, 智者由气而知晓彼一切。 何者住于周围之面, 以及何者安住于海中, 大地中央何者众生住, 智者由气而知晓彼一切。 天人以及非天亦如是知, 彼亦知晓非天之女等, 亦知非天之嬉戏欢喜, 彼之鼻根威力即如是。 森林之中何者四足兽, 狮子老虎以及大象等, 彼处水牛黄牛以及山羊, 彼等住处彼以鼻而知晓。 何者女子已成怀孕者, 童男或者童女为何者, 怀于腹中极度疲惫之身, 彼有何者彼由气而知晓。 众生入胎亦由彼知晓, 种种坏灭之法亦由彼知晓, 此女远离种种痛苦等, 知晓具有福德之子将出生。 亦能善知众多男子之想法, 亦能如是知晓想法之气。

The wonderful fragrance and the scent of agarwood, The various fragrances of flowers and fruits, Where men and women, young and old, reside, The scent of young boys and girls, The scent of sentient beings can also be known in this way. Their dwelling place is also known through scent, Wheel-turning kings are also known by this, Powerful wheel-turning kings and small kings, Likewise, young boys and girls, All the retinues of wives are known through scent. Fully enjoying various precious jewels, And whatever lies on the ground, And those women who have become precious jewels, The Bodhisattva knows them through scent. What ornaments do they possess? The various forms worn on the body, Clothes, garlands, and perfumes, The Bodhisattva knows them through scent. Likewise, standing, sitting, and lying down, Playfulness, joy, power, and strength, Whoever holds this sacred sutra, The steadfast one knows through the power of their nose. The scent of excellent incense and oil is also the same, The scent of various flowers and fruits, Where this scent is, one can know, While dwelling, one can know and perceive all at once. In the various aspects of the mountain ridges, Where sandalwood flowers bloom abundantly, And which sentient beings dwell there, The wise one knows all of them through scent. Those who dwell on the surrounding surfaces, And those who reside in the middle of the ocean, Which sentient beings dwell in the center of the earth, The wise one knows all of them through scent. Gods and Asuras are also known in this way, He also knows the daughters of the Asuras, He also knows the playfulness and joy of the Asuras, Such is the power of his nasal faculty. Which four-legged animals are in the forest? Lions, tigers, and excellent elephants, There, buffaloes, cattle, and goats, He knows their dwelling place through his nose. Which women have become pregnant, Whether it is a boy or a girl, Carrying in the womb, a body extremely weary, He knows what is there through scent. He also knows when sentient beings enter the womb, He also knows the nature of disintegration, This woman is free from all suffering, He knows that a son endowed with merit will be born. He also knows well the many thoughts of men, He also knows the scent of thoughts.
