He completely gave all kinds of great gifts. Great King, if you fulfill my wish, then Great King, you will become a victor, a lamp of the world. The king said, "What do you want?" The Livelihood Dust Sound said, "Great King, I need to hold the vidyā-mantra that can completely destroy the great battle of the Asuras. In order to accomplish the detailed ritual, I also need the skin of a living person, and I also need eyes. For this reason, I have come before you to request this." Son of the family, then King Merit Power thought to himself, "I have obtained the power of the wheel-turning king, and I will place countless sentient beings on the path of the ten virtuous actions, and I will certainly lead them into the three vehicles. I will also give immeasurable gifts. Now, this is someone who is taking essence from a meaningless body, he is my virtuous friend!" Then the king said, "I will give you these ordinary flesh eyes, please be happy! By this, may I obtain the unsurpassed Dharma eye. I will also give you my own skin with great joy, by this, may I obtain the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment!" Son of the family, then King Merit Power plucked out his own two eyes with his right hand, gave them to the Livelihood, and said with his face covered in blood, "Those who have gathered here, and those who wander in the sky, and the gods who dwell on the earth, and the powerful yakshas, and all the non-humans, and all the asuras, and all the spirits, and all the people, listen to me! May I obtain the state of peace through the virtue of dedicating this gift to enlightenment, and may I liberate all sentient beings from the endless ocean of samsara, and may I place them in the unsurpassed peace of nirvana!" He also said, "If I am to obtain the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, then until this Livelihood's vidyā-mantra is accomplished,

Until the moment of death, may my life force not diminish! May my memory not be lost! May I not regret it either! Son of the lineage, the king said, "Take the skin too!" Then, the one who makes a living, Dust Sound, took a sharp knife and peeled the skin from the living king's body, took the skin, and practiced the knowledge mantra. In this way, for seven days, the life force of King Sonam Tob also did not diminish, nor did his memory fail. He did not experience the feeling of suffering, and not even for a moment did he feel regret. Son of the lineage, what do you think? At that time, at that moment, the one who became endowed with great compassion, if you think that was someone else, do not look at it that way. At that time, at that moment, I was the father of the Tathagata Jewel Essence, named the one endowed with great compassion. That was the first time I generated the mind of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. When I first generated the mind, I caused countless sentient beings to truly enter unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. My heroic deeds and heroic actions, the first was that. By the power of aspiration, I died from there and was born in a pure Buddha-field, born into the Chandala caste. At that time, while dwelling in the Chandala caste, I caused sentient beings to engage in virtue, and by my own power and diligence, until I obtained the position of a powerful wheel-turning king, and I pacified all the strife and contention in Jambudvipa, and I prolonged my life. The first time I completely gave away my body, that was my heroic deed and my second heroic action. Whenever I completely gave away my own eyes and also completely gave away my own skin, and then died, also by the power of aspiration, in the pure Buddha-field, in the second Chandala caste of that same continent, I was born and engaged in virtue as before. There too, with steadfast diligence and such diligence, I certainly caused sentient beings to engage in virtuous deeds, until I also obtained the position of a powerful wheel-turning king. There too, I pacified the strife and contention, and

And having thoroughly pacified remorse and regret, they also prolonged their lives. There, also, having completely relinquished the tongue and ears from their own bodies, then in all the Buddha-fields, in the great thousandfold world of pure guidance, even among all the continents of the world, they performed such deeds of a man. May the aspiration and diligence be firm and the dullness be continuous, and by the power of aspiration, in the Buddha-fields with the five degenerations, as many as the sands of the Ganges, may beings be definitely joined with those roots of virtue, and may they be made to truly hold the three vehicles. Strife and the entanglement of disputes, as well as afflictions, resentment, and quarrels, are thoroughly pacified, and such deeds of a great man are performed. Son of the lineage, the pure Buddha-fields of other Buddhas, the Bhagavat, are for this reason: when those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, in the past, while practicing the practice of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, do not speak of the faults of others, nor do they show fear to others, and do not allow beings to truly hold the Hearer and Solitary Realizer vehicles, therefore, the Buddha-fields of those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who have fully realized their intentions, become pure. In that Buddha-field, there is not even the name of downfall, nor is there the taking of precepts, nor is there harsh speech, nor is there an unwholesome sound. But elsewhere, that Buddha-field is pervaded by the sound of Dharma and the sound of no unpleasantness. There, beings also act as they wish, and there, even the mere designation of the name of Hearer and Solitary Realizer vehicles is impossible. I, when in great kalpas as many as the sands of the Ganges, in empty Buddha-fields with the five degenerations, as many as the sands of the Ganges, with harsh and terrifying words, made beings
