那些菩萨不是为了慈爱一切众生而遍求无上正等菩提。那些执持清净佛土的菩萨，是舍弃了慈爱的。那些舍弃了声闻和独觉乘，希求佛土的菩萨，不是智慧和思维的智者。那些像我一样舍弃声闻和独觉，与善根为伴，完全舍弃女人，完全舍弃众生地狱和畜生之处，以及阎罗世界，在清净的佛土中现证无上正等菩提吧！对于那些真实进入大乘的菩萨们，请只用大乘的言语来宣说被声闻和独觉完全舍弃的法。我获得菩提之后，也能长寿，长久住世，在许多劫中为那些心清净、易于调伏、与善根为伴的人们宣说佛法吧！像这样发愿的菩萨们，因此不是智慧和思维的智者，也不能被称为菩萨摩诃萨。种姓之子，之后如来宝藏伸出手，从五指中放出各种颜色、多种颜色、数百万种颜色的光芒。那些光芒照向无量无数不可思议的方位，照亮了各个佛土。之后，有一个名为拇指世界的世间，那个拇指世界里的人们寿命为十岁，颜色丑陋，不美观，具有不善的根源，身高只有拇指的大小。在那里，住着一位如来、阿罗汉、正等觉者，名为星宿欢喜。那位如来的身量也相当于争斗时期人们的一肘和一个拇指。

Those Bodhisattvas do not seek unsurpassed and perfect enlightenment for the sake of loving all sentient beings. Those Bodhisattvas who hold pure Buddha-fields have abandoned compassion. Those Bodhisattvas who desire Buddha-fields, having completely abandoned the vehicles of Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, are not wise in wisdom and thought. May I, like those who have abandoned Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, be associated with virtuous roots, completely abandon women, completely abandon the realms of hell-beings and animals, and the world of Yama, and attain unsurpassed and perfect enlightenment in a pure Buddha-field! To those Bodhisattvas who have truly entered the Mahāyāna, may you teach the Dharma only with the words of the Mahāyāna, which has been completely abandoned by Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas. After I attain enlightenment, may I also live long and abide for a long time, and for many kalpas, may I teach the Dharma to those who are pure in mind, easy to tame, and associated with virtuous roots! Those Bodhisattvas who make such aspirations are therefore not wise in wisdom and thought, nor should they be called Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas. Son of the family, then the Tathāgata Jewel Essence extended his hand, and from his five fingers emitted rays of various colors, many colors, and hundreds of thousands of colors. Those rays went to immeasurable, countless, and inconceivable directions, illuminating the Buddha-fields. Then, there is a world called Thumb World, and in that Thumb World, people have a lifespan of ten years, are ugly in color, unattractive, and possess unwholesome roots, and their height is only the size of a thumb. There dwells a Tathāgata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha named Star Delight. The height of that Tathāgata's body is also equivalent to one cubit and one thumb of the people of the time of strife.

Just the span of a hand and seven fingers of those people. The Tathagata also abides, lives, and exists, and teaches the Dharma with the three vehicles to all four kinds of people. Son of the lineage, then, that retinue endowed with all sees that Buddha-field, those people, and the Tathagata, and then the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened Buddha, Jewel Essence, spoke: The Tathagata Pleasing to the Stars, in the immeasurable, countless eons that have passed, in the presence of the Tathagata Jewel Umbrella Manifesting Eminence, first generated the mind of unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. He caused many billions of beings to correctly take and place the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, and completely arranged them. Those sentient beings also, in the presence of the Tathagata Jewel Umbrella Manifesting Eminence, made aspirations according to their wishes. Some completely took the qualities and arrangements of the Buddha-field that are completely pure. Some completely took those that are not completely pure, endowed with the five degenerations. Then, that great being also caused me to correctly take and place the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, and completely abide. There, in the presence of the Tathagata Jewel Umbrella Manifesting Eminence, I made the aspiration to awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment in the qualities and arrangements of the Buddha-field endowed with the five degenerations. The Tathagata also gave me the word "Good!" and prophesied that I would awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. Then, that virtuous friend, that holy being, who caused me to correctly take enlightenment, when the time came when the five degenerations were extremely rampant and there was strife and conflict, completely took the extremely afflicted Buddha-field, and through aspiration completely took those sentient beings who commit the five heinous crimes, are endowed with roots of non-virtue, whose minds are burning, and who have entered the desolate wilderness of samsara, and turned towards that holy being.

在十方世界的无量无数其他世界中居住、生活的诸佛世尊们，也派遣使者说“善哉”，并命名为大悲遍照寂静。我的善知识，利益众生的菩萨摩诃萨，大悲遍照寂静，现在在拇指世界中，在拇指大小的人们之中，刚刚证得圆满正等觉不久。那位一肘高的如来，为那些拇指大小的人们，以三肘的高度，为寿命十岁的人们转动了具有佛法的法轮。他首先使那些安立、安置、善巧地安排了无上圆满正等觉的诸佛世尊，凡是居住在十方世界无量无数世界中，生活着的那些佛陀，也为了供养获得菩提的他而派遣了使者。他首先使那些从布施波罗蜜多到智慧波罗蜜多之间的一切，安立、安置、善巧地安排了的诸佛世尊，忆念往昔所作所为的那些佛陀，也向那位如来献上了鲜花。婆罗门，那些佛陀世尊如何在清净的佛土中，对长寿、心念完全清净、安乐居住的众生行持佛陀的事业，同样，那位喜欢星星的如来，在如此恶劣、五浊俱全的佛土中，证得佛果后，对于造作五逆罪和具有不善根的众生，以短暂的寿命行持了更多的佛陀事业，并且没有舍弃声闻和缘觉，请看他如何说法。善男子，您也同样在如此恶劣、五浊俱全的佛土中，摄受了造作五逆罪和具有不善根之间的应调伏的众生，以及具有殊胜的愿力。

The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who dwell and live in countless other worlds of the ten directions, also sent messengers saying "Well done," and named him Great Compassion Illuminating Peace. My virtuous friend, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who benefits beings, Great Compassion Illuminating Peace, has recently attained complete and perfect enlightenment in the Thumb World, among people the size of thumbs. That Tathagata, who is one cubit tall, turned the Dharma wheel of Dharma for those thumb-sized people, with a height of three cubits, for beings with a lifespan of ten years. He first caused those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who established, placed, and skillfully arranged the unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment, to send messengers to worship him who had attained enlightenment, those Buddhas who dwell and live in countless worlds of the ten directions. He first caused those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who established, placed, and skillfully arranged everything from the perfection of generosity to the perfection of wisdom, those Buddhas who remembered their past deeds, to offer flowers to that Tathagata. Brahmin, how do those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, perform the deeds of the Buddha for beings who are long-lived, whose minds are completely pure, and who live in ease in pure Buddha-fields? Similarly, that Tathagata who delights in the stars, having attained Buddhahood in such a bad Buddha-field, full of the five degenerations, performed more Buddha deeds with a short lifespan for beings who commit the five heinous crimes and possess unwholesome roots, and without abandoning the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, see how he teaches the Dharma. Noble man, you also, in such a bad Buddha-field, full of the five degenerations, have taken hold of the beings to be tamed between those who commit the five heinous crimes and those who possess unwholesome roots, and have a special aspiration.
