Chapter Four: The Chapter of Prophecy Chapter Four: The Chapter of Prophecy Son of the lineage, thereafter, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly complete Buddha, the essence of the Jewel, thought thus: "This Brahmin Sea Dust has caused countless billions of sentient beings to truly uphold, abide in, and well establish themselves in the unsurpassed, perfectly complete Bodhi, and has established them on the ground of non-retrogression. I shall prophesy for them, and I shall also indicate those Buddha-fields." Then, the Bhagavan entered into the Samadhi called "Not Forgetting the Mind of Bodhi" and smiled. Because of smiling, he illuminated the immeasurable and limitless Buddha-fields with great light. He also showed the qualities and adornments of the Buddha-fields to King Wheel Enclosure and countless billions of other sentient beings. At that time, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas from the Buddha-fields of the ten directions, who had perfectly transcended enumeration, saw that light, and by the power of the Buddha, for the sake of beholding the Bhagavan and the Sangha of monks, making prostrations, and making offerings, they came to this world. They also made offerings to the Bhagavan with various forms of Bodhisattva emanations. They bowed their heads at the feet of the Bhagavan, served and made offerings, and remained before the Bhagavan, desiring to hear the prophecy of the Bodhisattva's aspirations. Son of the lineage, thereafter, the chief of guides, the Brahmin Sea Dust, said to King Wheel Enclosure: "Great King, first tell of the qualities and adornments of the Buddha-field!" I completely dedicate this to perfect enlightenment. O Blessed One, for these seven years, I have contemplated the qualities and arrangements of the Buddha-fields. O Blessed One, in whatever Buddha-field I attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, may there be no sentient beings in hells, animal realms, or the realm of Yama. May any sentient beings who die and transmigrate from there not be born in the lower realms. May all sentient beings there become like the color of gold. May all gods and humans there be without distinction. May all sentient beings there remember their past lives. May all sentient beings possess the divine eye to see billions of Buddhas residing, living, and teaching the Dharma in other world realms. May all sentient beings possess the divine ear to hear the Dharma taught by billions of Buddhas. May all sentient beings possess the skill of knowing the minds of others, so that they know the mental conduct of sentient beings residing in many billions of Buddha-fields. May all sentient beings possess the skill of miraculous activity, so that with a single thought they can go to billions of Buddha-fields. May there be no clinging to sentient beings there, and may there be no mental clinging even to one's own body. May all sentient beings be irreversible from the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. May all sentient beings be born miraculously. May there be no designation of women there. May sentient beings there have no limit to their lifespan except by the power of their aspiration. May the name of non-virtue not even arise for sentient beings there. May no foul odor arise in that Buddha-field. O Blessed One, may that Buddha-field be pervaded by incense that far surpasses the divine realm. May all sentient beings possess the thirty-two marks of a great person.

愿以二者善为庄严！愿一切有情不需祈愿，仅以一生即可证得！那时，凭借佛陀的威力，一切有情于一个清晨，便能对如来及已超越如来之数的圣者，进行供养承侍。即使菩萨们想以种种化身，对诸佛进行供养，也能如愿以偿，并在当日清晨返回。愿一切有情皆能宣说佛陀的教法！第五品。愿一切有情皆具无欲之子的力量！愿无论何种有情，即使以天眼，也无法穷尽赞叹佛土功德庄严的边际！那时，愿一切有情皆能获得各自的正知与无量的无畏！愿每一位菩萨的身躯，皆能达到一千由旬的量度！愿彼佛土光明照耀！愿其周围存在着无数超越计量的佛土功德庄严！愿凡于彼处出生的有情，直至菩提终极，皆能行持梵行！愿一切有情直至菩提终极，皆成为天人世间应顶礼膜拜的对象！愿其肢体皆健全无缺！愿彼处有情甫一出生，便能获得超越天界之殊胜喜乐！愿那时，一切有情皆与善根相伴！愿那时，一切有情皆能披上绛红色袈裟！愿那时，有情甫一出生，便能获得具足殊胜辨别的禅定！获得此禅定后，便能前往无数超越计量的佛土，对诸佛进行供养承侍，并直至菩提终极，皆能亲见一切！于彼处出生的菩萨们，若欲求何种佛土功德庄严之自性，便能获得如是之佛土功德

May it be well adorned with both! May all sentient beings attain enlightenment in one lifetime without the need for aspirations! Then, by the power of the Buddha, all sentient beings in one morning will be able to attend to and honor as many Tathagatas and those who have passed beyond counting as there are Buddhas. Even if Bodhisattvas wish to make offerings to the Buddhas with various manifestations, they will be able to accomplish this, and they will return on the same morning. May all sentient beings speak the teachings of the Buddha! Fifth Chapter. May all sentient beings possess the strength of the son of the desireless! May no sentient being, even with the divine eye, be able to grasp the limit of the praise of the qualities and adornments of the Buddha-field! Then, may all sentient beings obtain individual perfect knowledge and countless fearlessness! May the body of each Bodhisattva be the measure of a thousand yojanas! May the light of that Buddha-field be clear! May there be countless qualities and arrangements of the Buddha-field beyond measure in its surroundings! May all sentient beings who are born there practice pure conduct until the ultimate end of enlightenment! May all sentient beings, until the ultimate end of enlightenment, be worthy of being worshiped by the world with gods! May they not be incomplete in their faculties! May sentient beings there, as soon as they are born, obtain the supreme joy and happiness that far surpasses the work of the gods! Then, may all sentient beings be associated with the roots of virtue! Then, may all sentient beings wear saffron robes! Then, may sentient beings, as soon as they are born, obtain a Samadhi endowed with excellent discrimination! Having obtained that Samadhi, they will go to countless Buddha-fields and attend to the Buddhas, and until the ultimate end of enlightenment, they will see everything! Whatever qualities of the Buddha-field's arrangement those Bodhisattvas who are born there desire, they will obtain such qualities of the Buddha-field.
