We, all having transformed into the form of the completely deceased body, are the bodhisattvas who have generated the mind for unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. Subsequently, countless eons, as many as the sands of a thousand Ganges rivers, have appeared and passed away. In the immeasurable and countless realms of the ten directions, having manifested unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment and become Buddhas, they say this: "Long ago, there was a fortunate eon. When that fortunate eon arrived, the fourth victorious one, the Thus-Gone One with such a name, appeared. He first caused us to perfectly grasp unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, and he established and arranged us well. We are those whose minds are corrupt, who associate with negativity, who commit the five heinous crimes, and who have fallen into wrong views. He caused us to perfectly grasp the six perfections, and he established and arranged us well. Therefore, we have now become all-knowing, and in every way we turn the Dharma wheel that possesses Dharma, we avert the wheel of suffering, and we establish countless billions of beings in the fruits of higher realms and liberation." Thus, may you speak, proclaim, and sing my praises! Those beings who seek enlightenment, if they hear my praises, fame, and renown from those Thus-Gone Ones, should request of those Thus-Gone Ones in this way: "Blessed One, Thus-Gone One, what meaning did you see that, when the time of strife had come and the five degenerations had arisen, you manifested unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment?" Those Thus-Gone Ones should also show to those sons or daughters of good family who seek enlightenment my great compassion and the qualities of the Buddha-field, and also tell of the nature of past aspirations. The lineage seeking enlightenment.

Or daughters of good families, they will also be amazed, and they will also be devoted to the vast. May they also similarly generate great compassion for sentient beings. In this way, in the age of strife, in the Buddha-field where the five degenerations and the turbidity of afflictions flourish, committing unpardonable deeds, associating with non-virtue, and diligently upholding discipline, may they also make such aspirations. May those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, also give such prophecies, just as the sons or daughters of good families who strive for enlightenment have made aspirations in the age of strife when the five degenerations and the turbidity of afflictions flourish, to the sons or daughters of good families who strive for enlightenment, those who possess great compassion, according to their wishes. May other Buddhas, the Bhagavat, also say to the sons or daughters of good families who strive for enlightenment: "For such a long time, there has appeared a Victorious Sun Tathagata, and his relics, after his complete passing into nirvana, for the sake of those sentient beings who suffer so much, performed various kinds of miracles and various kinds of transformations. The transformations manifested by his relics first inspired us to attain unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and then, for the sake of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, we associated with roots of virtue, first generated the mind of enlightenment, and diligently practiced these perfections.\ May the past deeds of the transformations of my relics be extensively shown, as previously mentioned." Then, the chief of the guides, the Brahmin Ocean Dust, in the presence of the Tathagata Jewel Essence, for the benefit of all beings, including gods, gandharvas, and humans, made those five hundred great aspirations endowed with great compassion, and then prayed thus: "Venerable Bhagavat, if in the future, in the Fortunate Aeon, I am afflicted by afflictions and

When the time comes when decline is rampant and disputes arise, the world is blind and without guides, completely without guides, and in a world plunged into the darkness of the suffering of views, for those who have no boundaries, and for those obstacles such as those mentioned before, this hope of mine will be completely fulfilled. If the prayers I have made can accomplish all the deeds of the Buddha, then for the sake of enlightenment, I should not abandon aspirations, nor should I dedicate the roots of virtue to other realms. Venerable Bhagavan, this is my resolve. Moreover, I do not seek the Pratyekabuddha Vehicle with these roots of virtue, nor do I seek the Hearer Vehicle, nor do I seek the kingdom of gods and humans, nor do I seek the dominion of gods and humans, nor do I seek the enjoyment of the qualities of the five desires, nor do I seek rebirth as a god, nor do I seek rebirth as a Gandharva, Asura, Yaksha, Rakshasa, Naga, or Garuda, nor do I dedicate the roots of virtue elsewhere. For the Bhagavan has said: "Giving leads to great wealth, discipline leads to rebirth in heaven, listening leads to great wisdom, and meditation leads to liberation." The Bhagavan has also said: "By dedicating the roots of virtue possessed by beings with merit, wishes will be fulfilled." Venerable Bhagavan, the merit I have accumulated from giving, from discipline, from listening, and from meditation, if the prayers I have made can be completely fulfilled, then for that purpose, I dedicate all these roots of virtue to those hell beings who experience intense suffering in the Avici hell. May these roots of virtue cause them to rise from there and attain what has not been attained in this Buddha-field. May they hear the Dharma spoken by the Tathagata.
