In this vast Buddha-field, all those who have made aspirations to attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment are prophesied by the Tathāgata Ratnagarbha. Ultimately, they will become Buddhas such as Sarvadarśin, Uṣṇīṣin, and Sarvatrāṇa. Among all the Brahmin boys who were prophesied, there was one named Vyāpaka-vāyu, who was the leader of a thousand Brahmins who recited the Vedas and was revered by many. He prayed: 'May I attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment in a Buddha-field endowed with the five degenerations! May I teach the Dharma to beings who are afflicted by intense desire, intense hatred, and intense delusion!' The Brahmin boy Tāraka-rakṣa said: 'O preceptor Vyāpaka-vāyu, what benefit do you see in making aspirations in a Buddha-field endowed with the five degenerations?' The reciter said: 'A Bodhisattva who possesses great compassion attains enlightenment in a Buddha-field endowed with the five degenerations, benefiting beings who are without refuge, without friends, afflicted by afflictions, and deluded by wrong views, becoming their protector and friend, liberating beings from the ocean of birth, establishing them in right view, and satisfying them with the nectar of nirvāṇa.' Therefore, making aspirations in a Buddha-field endowed with the five degenerations is a manifestation of the great compassion of a Bodhisattva. The Tathāgata Ratnagarbha said: 'Vyāpaka-vāyu, in the future, after countless kalpas equal to the sands of one Ganges River have passed, when the second countless kalpas equal to the sands of the Ganges River arrive, in the east, beyond Buddha-fields equal to the number of atoms in Buddha-fields, there will be a world called Kusumbha-dhvaja. Noble being, there you will manifest the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment.'

will become, the Tathagata named Mountain King Tathagata, until the Buddha Bhagavan. Pervasive Wind prayed: Venerable Bhagavan, if my wish can be completely fulfilled, then, for this purpose, when I prostrate to the feet of the Bhagavan with five limbs, may the Bhagavan place the two feet adorned with a hundred blessings on my head. Son of the family, when the Brahmin Pervasive Wind touched the feet of the Bhagavan with his head, the Tathagata Jewel Essence Bodhisattva placed his two feet on the head of the Bodhisattva Pervasive Wind and said: Compassionate heart, sharp wisdom, for the sake of supreme Bodhi, practice what should be practiced, firmly cut off the bonds of affliction, you will become a compassionate Buddha with a beneficial heart. Son of the family, then, the Brahmin boy Star Guardian knelt on the ground with his right knee and prayed to the Bhagavan Tathagata Jewel Essence: Venerable Bhagavan, I will also generate the supreme perfect Bodhicitta, may the sentient beings in this Buddha land, who are equal in their minds of desire, hatred, and ignorance, and who do not dwell on thoughts of good and non-good, attain supreme perfect Bodhi when they reach the age of forty thousand years. The Tathagata Jewel Essence said: After countless Ganges sand kalpas have passed, when the second countless kalpa arrives, this world will become the Saha world. Why is this world called the Saha world? Because these sentient beings do not tire of desire, they do not tire of hatred, they do not tire of ignorance, and they do not tire of the bonds of affliction, therefore this world is called the Saha world. In the Saha world, a great kalpa called the Good Kalpa will appear. Why is it called the Good Kalpa? Because in the Good Kalpa, sentient beings are subject to desire and hatred
