Therefore I see, Wise ones therefore churn it. Likewise, the ālaya-vijñāna, Also possessing seven vijñānas. Churned and practicing densely, The able ones have seen. Ignorance is called suffering, The mandala is another name for wisdom. Those who train in this mandala, The yogis go densely. Formless, with form, space, and, The vijñānas and saṃjñā are not there. Do yogis meditate on objects? They go to the dense field. Like the light of the sun and moon, The fearless sons of the conquerors. Showing the able one of the yogis, Abiding in the path of yogic practice. By the empowerment of all the Buddhas, He has gone to the dense empowerment. Following the Buddha's yoga, Having transformed, he goes to the dense. Abiding in the dense and the nirmāṇa, And those nirmāṇas of nirmāṇas, Wherever they desire whatever dharma, They sit in the sky and teach. The bad karma of beginningless time, Accumulated by the cause of habit, By the conceptualization of the ālaya, All bonds arise completely. Just as the waves of the ocean, Those stirred up by the wind, Arise continuously without ceasing, Likewise, the vijñānas in the ālaya. That vijñāna is made by that, The habits grow and increase. Arising and some returning, Without cessation, nor permanent. Because one's own mind is not understood, The vijñānas that focus on objects, Though entering deeply, also return, When beings see their own mind. Likewise, the transformed mind, Like fire and burning, The ālaya appearing as an object, Having transformed, has no outflows. Having gone to the state of no outflows, And will be born into the family of the noble ones. The ālaya appearing as an object, Completely pervades and abides in all the lands. The mind is 'I' to the self, clinging to 'I', The pride of 'I' arises greatly. The vijñāna distinguishes colors, And greatly makes all kinds of divisions. The mind is actions and so on, The mind understands inwardly. The vijñāna distinguishes all things, The five see the appearance. Like those with cataracts and intoxication, Like seeing a cluster of hairs, Forms and so on are formless, The mind abides like a form.

It is. Like the jewel of the sun and moon, possessing the characteristic of complete purity. When struck by the rays of the sun and moon, they naturally emanate their own qualities. Likewise, the Alaya-consciousness, like the essence of the Sugata's virtue, possesses flawless goodness, and if transformed, it will greatly emanate. Whatever appears, all that appears as forms and shapes is the Alaya with habitual imprints, like the earth, existing everywhere as form. Just as milk transforms, and its qualities appear as yogurt and butter. Likewise, the Alaya-consciousness, upon transformation, exists as form. Just as one with cataracts sees hairs, due to the fault of the eye. Likewise, the Alaya with the fault of habitual imprints, is the basis for sentient beings, the root of the appearance of forms that constantly enter the eye consciousness. Whatever these appearances may be, they are like the mirage of water. Form is a combination of existence and non-existence, and the Alaya is what is seen afterward. Relying on the eye and form, it arises like an illusion. Constantly entering the eye consciousness, it shakes violently like a mirage. Form possessing the qualities of form, is the Alaya existing as form, like the speculation of a child, form does not exist independently. There is no actor, nor is there mind, it exists like a collection of hair knots. Sleeping, drunkenness, arrogance, and the actions of walking, staying, and running, all happening simultaneously, are the Alaya of sentient beings. Just as from the heated ground, mirages rise upwards, shaking violently like spring water, deceiving the deer. Likewise, the Alaya-consciousness, in the realm of non-form perception, appears as unreal form, just as imagined by those with conceptual thoughts. Just as the appearance of a magnet, the iron quickly revolves around it, yet it has no mind, but appears as if it has mind. Likewise, the Alaya-consciousness, like a mindless sentient being, its walking and coming are all movements, and it vigorously writes on all the grounds. Just as the jellyfish in the ocean, even without life, can move and shake, likewise, the Alaya-consciousness, dwells in the body and moves. The elephant and the image of the elephant, how they fight and dissolve are not real, likewise.

Is the ālaya-vijñāna. Having entered, it will not be cut off. Just as a lotus is immaculate, It arises from within the mud, Suitable for humans, gods, and monks. All who dwell in the heavenly realms desire it. Likewise, the ālaya-vijñāna, Arising from the mud of habitual imprints, Purely transforms into something else, This is what great beings desire. Just as a jewel is perfectly pure, Even if struck and hammered by mountain folk, It is also suitable for a king's Crest, It can also be placed on a crest. Likewise, the ālaya-vijñāna, Struck and hammered by habitual imprints, Is the pure Buddha lineage, It is regarded as the Buddha himself. Just as stones at the bottom of a river, Are completely covered by fish foam, Likewise, the ālaya-vijñāna, Is also made impure by defiled habitual imprints. In the grasping and the grasped, the clinging, Two things fully enter. Just as a snake with two mouths, Goes wherever it wants, Likewise, the ālaya-vijñāna, Is sequential and simultaneous in its movement. Always like various forms, Through conceptual thought, it is distinguished. Those with conceptual thought become deluded, Conceptually clinging to self and what belongs to self, On the grounds where the cause of existence and non-existence resides, They also conceptually think, Completely transformed into change, And the profundity of the ālaya, Because those with small minds cannot comprehend it, They wander like an illusory deer. It is difficult to know that it is not a single nature, It is the same for all sentient beings, Likewise, the ālaya-vijñāna, Is always like an illusory deer. It is difficult to know that it is not a single sentient being, Conceptual thought clings to existence and non-existence. The atoms, the chief person, and, The unmanifest Brahman are also it, Those with conceptual thought, deluded by conceptual thought, Always cling to the ālaya. For things that exist like grounds, They also cling to various grounds in the same way. The mind that clings to the ground Is called universal clinging. Just as uneven lines, And various shapes of clouds, A rainbow and a deer that causes desire, Cloud sounds and thunder are also the same, A string of blurry beads, And the face of a beautiful woman are also the same, In dreams, various forms appear, The houses and dwellings of gandharvas, Corpses, trees in water, Rocks, clouds, and smoke, The reflection in a mirror's eye, Water
