And, walking and, men and, women, etc., whatever the name is, that is discrimination. Great wisdom, with correct wisdom, does not cling to names and reasons, like guests coming and going to each other, because the various consciousnesses do not arise, so there is no permanence, no cessation, so it will not fall into the realm of heretics and, hearers and, all solitary realizers. Furthermore, Great Wisdom, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, with correct wisdom, neither separately establish names and reasons, nor do they not separately establish names and reasons, thereby completely abandoning the increase and slander of the two views. Names and reasons do not arise, this is called Suchness. Great Wisdom, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas abide in Suchness, because they obtain the realm of no appearance, so they obtain the Bodhisattva's Joyful Ground. After obtaining the Bodhisattva's Joyful Ground, they completely transcend all the practices of heretics and evil destinies, truly abide in the way of transcendence, are familiar with the nature of Dharma, distinguish all Dharmas such as illusion, the characteristics of the nature of the Dharma that they have realized themselves, are free from the characteristics of the strange views of logicians, and gradually obtain the position up to the Cloud of Dharma Ground. Moreover, that position also increases dhyana and, power and, freedom and, supernatural powers, and obtains the position up to the Tathagata Ground. After obtaining that position, like the moon in the water, it universally shows various kinds of manifestations, and completely matures sentient beings, which is the ultimate completion of the ten grounds, distinguishing and teaching the Dharma to sentient beings with various interests, but the Dharmakaya is far from the manifestation of the mind. This is called what Bodhisattvas obtain after entering Suchness. Then, Bodhisattva Mahamati asked the Bhagavan, "Bhagavan, are the three natures included in the five dharmas? Or are they each established as their own characteristics?" The Bhagavan said:

O Mahamati, the three natures, the eight consciousnesses, and the two selflessnesses are all included in the five dharmas. O Mahamati, those names and characteristics are the nature of complete conceptualization. O Mahamati, relying on discrimination, mind and mental dharmas arise together with names, just as the sun and its rays arise together, discriminating and grasping various characteristics separately, this is called the nature of dependence on others. O Mahamati, correct wisdom and Suchness are imperishable, therefore they are called the nature of perfect accomplishment. Furthermore, O Mahamati, the discriminations that appear in one's own mind can be divided into eight types, namely, the Alaya consciousness, the mind and the consciousness, and the five aggregates of consciousness. The reason for this is that, because of the complete conceptualization of untrue characteristics, when the grasping of self and what belongs to self ceases, the two selflessnesses arise. Therefore, O Mahamati, within these five dharmas, the self-realized noble wisdom of the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Tathagatas, as well as the connections between the grounds, the order, and all the Buddha dharmas are also included. Furthermore, O Mahamati, the five dharmas are characteristics, names, discriminations, Suchness, and correct wisdom. O Mahamati, among them, characteristics are the appearance of dwelling places, the characteristics of shapes, and the characteristics of forms, etc., this is called characteristics. For the characteristics themselves, there are names such as "pot," therefore it is said, "This is not different from Suchness," this is called name, and many names are established to clarify the characteristics. The mind and mental dharmas such as pots are called discriminations. Those names and characteristics are ultimately without objects, without beginning or end to be recognized, there is no mutual relationship between dharmas, and they are free from untrue discriminations, this is called Suchness. Correctly ascertaining Suchness is ultimately also

The absence of inherent existence is the characteristic of Suchness, which I and the Tathagatas also follow, and truly explain to all sentient beings. Established. Revealed. Following this, truly realizing, without annihilation or permanence, without arising of distinctions, each individually conforming to the principle of noble wisdom of self-awareness. The characteristic that is unattainable by heretics, Shravakas, and Pratyekabuddhas is called true wisdom. These great wisdoms are called the five dharmas, namely the three natures, the eight consciousnesses, the two selflessnesses, and all the Buddha's teachings are gathered there. Therefore, one should diligently study this great wisdom oneself and also teach others to study it, and not follow others. Then, the Bhagavan, in order to explain the meaning again, spoke these verses: The five dharmas and the three natures, and the very nature of the eight consciousnesses, the meaning of the two selflessnesses, encompass all the Mahayana. Names and causes are distinctions, are the characteristics of the two natures, true wisdom is Suchness, is the characteristic of the perfectly established. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahamati again asked the Bhagavan: As the Bhagavan said, the Buddhas of the past are like the sands of the Ganges, and so are those of the future and the present. Bhagavan, should we take this literally? Or is there another meaning? Bhagavan, please explain with compassion. The Bhagavan replied: Mahamati, it should not be taken literally, the Tathagatas of the three times, past, present, and future, are not truly like the sands of the Ganges. Why is that? Because it transcends worldly thoughts and cannot be compared with metaphors. For example, childish ordinary people become attached to permanence, and the evil views of heretical discriminations increase, so that samsara has no end, these beings in samsara
