That is not something that can be expressed as a number in the world. If there are no objects to be expressed in the world, one will fall into the view of the nihilistic school of thought, because all things are only seen as words of expression, and one does not see their own nature arising. Among them, the so-called impermanence of change means that forms and other objects appear to change, but the four great elements are not like that. For example, although ornaments made of gold appear to change, the nature of gold does not disappear, only the shape of the ornament disappears, and similarly, the change of other objects and so on is also the same. In these ways, the non-Buddhists will separately cling to the view of impermanence. For example, when fire burns the four great elements, it cannot burn its own nature. If their respective natures destroy each other, then the forms and other things caused by the four great elements will have the reason for destruction. Great Wisdom, my Dharma is neither permanent nor impermanent when it arises. What is the reason for that? Because external objects are uncertain, it is said that the three realms are only mind, but it is not said that there are various natures, birth, and death. Because of the differences in the aggregation of the four great elements, and because of the four great elements and what is transformed from the four great elements, one will separately cling to the two kinds of things that are grasped and the grasper, and completely understand the two kinds of distinctions, and be separated from the two views of external objects and non-objects, and understand that one's own mind is only an appearance, and it is born from the thought of distinction, not from the thought without distinction. Therefore, the mind is separated from the distinction between objects and non-objects, so all the dharmas of the world, transcendence, and transcendence above transcendence are neither permanent nor impermanent. Because one does not understand that one's own mind is only an appearance, one will fall into the continuum of the two extreme wrong views, and all the non-Buddhists do not understand their own distinctions. Those ordinary people have no basis whatsoever, so...

Just as worldly beings, those who have transcended the world, and the most excellent of those who have transcended the world, the forms of Dharma words arise from contemplation, and are not comprehended by individual ordinary people. Then, the Blessed One, in order to show that meaning again, spoke these verses. First, having begun and completely abandoned, shapes and forms change, the nature of things is impermanent, which is contemplated by foolish non-Buddhists. Things themselves do not perish, the elements abide in the nature of the elements. Non-Buddhists perceive impermanence, and various views become submerged and change. For non-Buddhists, there is neither birth nor destruction in those things. The nature of the elements is constant, just as they perceive it as impermanent. All is only mind appearance, and the mind also engages in two ways, namely, the apprehended and the apprehender. Self and what belongs to self do not exist. Brahma is the root of the tree, and branches and leaves spread everywhere. Thus I have said, those are only mind. Then, again, the Bodhisattva Mahamati said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, please explain the characteristics of the sequential connection of the cessation samadhi entered into by Bodhisattvas, Shravakas, and all Pratyekabuddhas. If one becomes skilled in the characteristics of the sequential connection of the cessation samadhi, then I and other Bodhisattvas will not abandon the gate of bliss of the cessation samadhi, and will not fall into the delusion of Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and non-Buddhists. The Blessed One said: Mahamati, listen very well and keep it in mind, and I will explain it to you. Mahamati said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, please explain. The Blessed One said: Mahamati, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas of the sixth ground, as well as Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, generate samadhi. But Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas of the seventh ground enter samadhi in every moment of thought, because they have completely abandoned the characteristics of the nature of all things, they are able to enter
