Unspeakable, Without things and without connection. These, like corpses, are discriminated by children With inverted minds. All dharmas are unborn, This is not the doctrine of the heretics. Ultimately, there is no birth at all, Things are accomplished by conditions. Since all dharmas are unborn, The wise do not grasp at signs. Because it arises from the cause of vows, The wise completely abandon it. Just as one with blurred eyes Sees the characteristics of hair wrongly. Likewise, attachment to the appearance of things Is also wrongly discriminated by children. As much as the three realms are attached, The nature of things does not exist. Because the nature of things is imputed, Those with discriminations discriminate. The establishment of names, things, and words, Causes the mind to be confused and violently shaken. The princes have completely transcended and abandoned those discriminations. To grasp at what is not water as water, Arises from the thirst of craving. Children are thus mistaken, The vision of the noble ones is not like that. The vision of the noble ones is completely pure, Arising from liberation and samadhi. Having completely abandoned birth and death, They practice greatly in the absence of appearance. In the absence of appearance, the yogi Has neither things nor non-things. When things and non-things are equal, The fruit of the noble ones arises in that. How can things and non-things Become equality? Since the mind does not understand this, Outer and inner are violently shaken. When will it destroy that, The mind will also see equality. Thereafter, Great Wisdom said this to the Bhagavan: Bhagavan, Bhagavan, as you said, when one does not apprehend the object to be apprehended with wisdom, at that time it is only nominally established, because there is no object to be established, therefore there is no subject either. Because there is no subject, consciousness also does not arise, it is only a nominal name. Bhagavan, is it because one has not understood the difference and non-difference between the self-characteristics and common characteristics of all things, that one does not apprehend with wisdom? Or is it because the various self-characteristics and common characteristics obscure the nature of things, that one does not apprehend with wisdom? Those such as mountain rocks and, walls and, earth and,

Is it because of the separation by water, fire, and wind that knowledge cannot perceive? Is it because of being very far away or very near that knowledge cannot perceive? Or is it because the elderly, children, and the blind lack senses that knowledge cannot perceive? World Honored One, if it is because knowledge cannot perceive in order to understand the difference between self-characteristics and common characteristics, as well as non-difference, then it should not be called knowledge, but rather ignorance, because even if things exist, they cannot be perceived. If it is because the various characteristics of self-characteristics and common characteristics cause the essence of things to disappear, and knowledge cannot perceive, then that is also ignorance, not knowledge. World Honored One, knowledge arises because there is an object of knowledge. It does not arise from non-existence, but rather it is called knowledge because it possesses an object of knowledge. If it is because of the separation by mountains and rocks, walls, land, water, fire, and wind, as well as distance, proximity, the elderly, children, and the blind, whose senses are incomplete, that knowledge cannot perceive, then that should not be called knowledge, but rather ignorance, because even if things exist, they cannot be perceived. The World Honored One said: Great Wisdom, it is not so ignorant, but rather it is knowledge, so it is not ignorance. I have thought about this obscurely, and when knowledge cannot perceive the perceived object, it is not said that it is merely a construct, because one has not understood the appearance of one's own mind, and from existence and non-existence, knowledge believes that external objects and non-external objects exist, so because things cannot be perceived, knowledge does not involve the object of knowledge. After the three liberations, knowledge also cannot perceive, because those with minds tainted by the habits of elaborating on things and non-things from beginningless time do not know in this way. Because knowledge does not know these, it does not abandon the discrimination that the nature of external phenomena does not exist, because it establishes the appearance of one's own mind, it is manifestly attached to grasping the characteristics of self and what belongs to self, because the appearance of one's own mind
