As it is clearly explained. Furthermore, Mahamati, clinging to the appearance that is exactly like the sound, regarding things such as the unborn, the unceasing, naturally completely passing beyond sorrow, the three vehicles, the one vehicle, and the mind and nature, etc., then that clinging relies on falling into the extremes of imputation and defamation. If views are established in other forms, and discriminated in other ways, then various discriminations like illusions will appear. Just as illusions appear in various forms, so too do childish ordinary beings discriminate separately in other ways, but not the noble ones. Then, in order to teach that very meaning again, the Bhagavan spoke these verses: Through those discriminations that follow sound, whatever things are established, thus, by imputing those, having died and transmigrated, they fall into the hell realms. In the aggregates there is no self, the aggregates themselves are also not self, those do not exist as they are imputed, non-existence itself also does not exist. If all things were to exist, just as children imagine, if it exists as it is seen, then all would be seen as true. If the dharmas have no entity, then purity and impurity do not exist, it is not as it is seen, but those are also not non-existent. Furthermore, Mahamati, the characteristics of wisdom and consciousness will be explained. If you become skilled in thoroughly distinguishing the characteristics of wisdom and consciousness, then you and the Bodhisattvas will comprehend the characteristics of wisdom and consciousness, and quickly manifestly and completely awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. Mahamati, wisdom has three aspects: namely, the worldly, the transcendental, and the supreme transcendental. What is worldly wisdom? It is like this: the tirthikas and childish ordinary beings cling to existence and non-existence. What is transcendental wisdom? It is like this: all the shravakas and pratyekabuddhas cling to thoughts that fall into self-characteristics and general characteristics. What is the supreme transcendental wisdom?

What is wisdom? It is said that, for the unmanifested Dharma of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, one can thoroughly distinguish, and see the unborn and unceasing, being apart from the sides of existence and non-existence, it is the place of the Tathagata, and the selflessness of person and Dharma arises from one's own individual realization. Moreover, there are three aspects of wisdom, namely, the wisdom of realizing birth and destruction, the wisdom of realizing self and general characteristics, and the wisdom of realizing the unborn and unceasing. For great wisdom, birth and destruction are consciousness, and the unborn and unceasing are wisdom. Falling into signs and signlessness, falling into existence and non-existence, and what arises from the causes of various characteristics are consciousness, and what completely transcends the characteristics of existence and non-existence is wisdom. Furthermore, the characteristic of having birth is consciousness, and the characteristic of having no birth is wisdom. Furthermore, the characteristic of being unobstructed is wisdom, and the characteristic of being obstructed by various objects is consciousness. Furthermore, the characteristic of the method of arising from the aggregation of three things is consciousness, and the characteristic of the nature of having no things and methods is wisdom. Furthermore, the characteristic of having attainment is consciousness, and the characteristic of having no attainment is wisdom, because one is a noble being, and by realizing the realm of practice of the wisdom of individual self-awareness, one does not enter or arise, like the moon in water. Then, the Bhagavan, in order to explain that meaning again, spoke these verses: Knowing actions and so on, that which is not a person and so on is wisdom. Having well discriminated all dharmas, realizing the absence of appearance, if one obtains power and strength, that is called wisdom. That which is related to objects is mind, discrimination is consciousness, awareness is wisdom. From the unmanifest and the distinct, wisdom arises. Abandoning mind, intellect, consciousness, and the thought of discrimination, and obtaining the Dharma without discrimination, is a son of the Conqueror, not a Hearer. Supreme peace, distinction, and forbearance, and the purity of the Tathagata, from wisdom arises excellent meaning.
