Me, I do not discriminate about the nature. Furthermore, Mahamati, I will thoroughly explain the nature of the aggregates of names, phrases, and letters. Any Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who thoroughly understands the aggregates of names, phrases, and letters, and who follows the meaning, words, and combinations of letters, will quickly awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. Having perfectly awakened and become enlightened, they will also cause all sentient beings to comprehend in the same way. Mahamati, what is called the 'aggregate of names' is like this: whatever is relied upon to be named is called the 'aggregate of names.' Mahamati, the 'aggregate of phrases' is like this: any phrase that possesses a collection of meanings, does not lose its own essence, and is ultimate, that is called the 'aggregate of phrases.' Mahamati, the 'aggregate of letters' is like this: whatever clarifies names and phrases, that is called the 'aggregate of letters.' Also, the 'aggregate of letters' is like this: long, short, high, and low. Also, the 'aggregate of phrases' is like the traces of walking, such as the traces left by elephants, horses, people, deer, etc., wherever they walk, those traces obtain the name 'aggregate of phrases.' Mahamati, names and letters are like this: names are for expressing the four formless aggregates. Letters are for making manifest their own nature; that is called the aggregate of names and letters. These are the characteristics of expressing names, phrases, and letters; you should diligently study them. Then, the Bhagavan, in order to further explain that meaning, spoke these verses: The aggregates of names and phrases, and the distinctions of the aggregates of letters, the ignorant children who are attached to them, are like elephants sinking in a swamp. Furthermore, Mahamati, in the future, if I were to ask those unwise ones about the nature of being liberated from the views of oneness, otherness, both, and neither, the meanings that I have realized, they would say, 'This is not a proper question,' like form and so on, and impermanence, one.

Or called different, similarly, from nirvana arise formations, from characteristics arise the basis of characteristics, from qualities arise those with qualities, from arising arise what is transformed from arising, from seeing arise what is to be seen, from dust arise minute dust particles, from practice arise yogis, similarly, by way of one measuring the other's characteristics, when these and so on are asked, the Bhagavan prophesied. It is said thus. As for the established prophecy here, those foolish beings will not understand it. Because they do not possess the wisdom of listening, therefore the Tathagatas, Arhats, perfectly enlightened Buddhas, in order to abandon those places of fear, do not prophesy about things that are not prophesied. Furthermore, it is not spoken in order to destroy the views of non-Buddhists. Mahamati, non-Buddhists say this: for example, life itself is the body, etc., they speak of not prophesying. Mahamati, those who are confused about the cause of non-Buddhists speak of not prophesying, but not in their scriptures. Mahamati, my scriptures are the abandonment of the grasper and the grasped, and the non-arising of conceptual thoughts. How to prevent them? Mahamati, for those who cling to the grasper and the grasped and do not understand that their own mind is merely an appearance, for these there is prevention. Mahamati, the Tathagatas, Arhats, perfectly enlightened Buddhas, teach the Dharma to sentient beings with four kinds of prophecies. Mahamati, the established prophecy is what I occasionally speak to those whose faculties are not yet mature, not to those whose faculties are mature. Furthermore, Mahamati, all dharmas do not arise because they are devoid of the causes and conditions of action, and also all dharmas do not arise because there is no agent. Mahamati, how are all things without inherent existence? For example, when one examines with one's own wisdom, since one does not see things with self-characteristics and general characteristics, therefore it is said that all dharmas do not arise. Mahamati, how do all dharmas come and go
