So, is the realm of individual wisdom and the ultimate realm that the Blessed One speaks of not the permanent and inconceivable cause and condition spoken of by the non-Buddhists? The Blessed One said: Great wisdom, the permanent and inconceivable cannot be attained by the causes and conditions of the non-Buddhists. Why is that? Because the permanent and inconceivable spoken of by the non-Buddhists is not produced from the nature of the cause itself. If the cause of the permanent and inconceivable is not produced from its own nature, then what cause can manifest the permanent and inconceivable? Furthermore, great wisdom, if the permanent and inconceivable were produced from the nature of the cause itself, then it would become permanent, so it cannot be established that the nature of the cause that acts in this way is permanent and inconceivable. Great wisdom, my ultimate permanent and inconceivable is produced from the nature of the ultimate cause, because it is free from existence and non-existence, and has obtained the nature of wisdom itself, so it has nature. Because it has become the cause of ultimate wisdom, it has cause. Because it is free from existence and non-existence, it is permanent like uncreated space, nirvana, and cessation. Therefore, great wisdom, this is not the same as the permanent and inconceivable spoken of by the non-Buddhists. Great wisdom, this permanent and inconceivable is to be understood by the wisdom of individual self-awareness of the Tathagatas. Therefore, one should strive to understand the permanent and inconceivable through individual self-awareness. Furthermore, great wisdom, the permanent and inconceivable of the non-Buddhists is actually impermanent, because it is a cause of different natures, and because of the power of the nature of the self-created cause, it is not permanent. Furthermore, great wisdom, the permanent and inconceivable of the non-Buddhists is a created thing.

Because of the absence of inherent existence, they see it as impermanent, but they imagine it to be permanent. Great Wisdom, I am also like that, things that are produced by causes and conditions, because of the absence of inherent existence, they are seen as impermanent, and with the self-realizing wisdom of the noble ones, it is shown that there is no cause for permanence in them. Great Wisdom, if the characteristics of the cause of the non-Buddhists are established, then it is permanent. The nature of the inconceivable cause is that the object is without object, like the horns of a rabbit, and it is permanent and inconceivable, which is only a verbal distinction. Non-Buddhists have such faults. Why is that? For example, verbal distinctions are also like the horns of a rabbit, so there is no object of its own causal nature. Great Wisdom, my cause of permanence and inconceivability is the nature of the self-realizing wisdom of the noble ones, so it is permanent because it has abandoned the object of action and the object of non-action, but it is not because external objects have become non-existent and impermanent, and then it is inferred to be permanent. Great Wisdom, if external objects become non-existent and impermanent, and then it is inferred to be permanent and inconceivable, then the nature of the inconceivable self-cause is not understood. Great Wisdom, those are very far from the practice of the self-realizing wisdom of the noble ones, so they should not be taught. Furthermore, Great Wisdom, because they are afraid of the suffering of the distinctions of samsara, they seek nirvana, and because they do not understand the difference between samsara and nirvana, they think that the distinction of non-existence from all things, and the cessation of the objects of the future senses, is nirvana, and not the self-realizing wisdom of the noble ones as the basis. Therefore, those fools say that there are three vehicles, but they do not say that the appearances that appear as mind-only are non-existent. Therefore, Great Wisdom, those are

The Buddhas of the past, future, and present have said that one does not clearly understand the realm of experience that appears to one's own mind, and one clings to the appearance of the mind itself as an external realm of experience. The wheel of samsara constantly turns. Furthermore, great wisdom, all dharmas are unborn, as taught by the Buddhas of the past, future, and present. Why is that? It is like this: the objects that appear to one's own mind are free from arising as non-objects, objects, and non-non-objects. Great wisdom, all dharmas are unborn, all dharmas are like the horns of rabbits and horses, and so on. Because childish ordinary beings analyze the nature of unreal complete conceptualization, therefore, great wisdom, all dharmas are unborn. In the realm of experience of the wisdom of the noble ones who individually realize, the characteristic of the nature of all things is unborn, therefore, that nature of the realm of experience of the two conceptualizations of childish ordinary beings, the way the nature of the body and enjoyment are established, is not a characteristic. Great wisdom, when the alaya-vijnana enters into the characteristics of the grasped and the grasper, childish ordinary beings, those with thoughts that fall into the two views of arising, abiding, and ceasing, discriminate that the arising of all things arises from existence and non-existence. The noble ones do not think like that. Great wisdom, one should strive diligently in this. Furthermore, great wisdom, there are five lineages that can realize enlightenment. What are the five? They are: the lineage of the Hearers' Vehicle that can realize enlightenment, the lineage of the Solitary Buddhas' Vehicle that can realize enlightenment, the lineage of the Tathagata's Vehicle that can realize enlightenment, the uncertain lineage, and the various distinct lineages. How should one understand the lineage of the Hearers' Vehicle that can realize enlightenment? When one hears someone explaining the individual and general characteristics of the skandhas, dhatus, and ayatanas, as well as what is to be completely abandoned and what is to be understood,
