The third has no cause, From what does error arise, And relying on what does it arise, The mind has twelve, eighteen, six. Therefore, I shall explain it, From the connection of my seed and the object, The grasping of self arises strongly. By the mind entering into the object of examination, Attachment to phenomena will be abandoned. From the Alaya consciousness, What kind of consciousness arises, Are the internal sense bases, Whatever appears is the external. Like the unwise, Clinging to the body and hair, the form of dreams, Created and uncreated, Constantly contemplating, but it does not exist. Like the city of Gandharvas, Illusions and the water of mirages, Like appearing as non-existent, So it is the power of others. To designate as self and senses, I do not speak of the mind, The mind, intellect, and consciousness, Are devoid of their own characteristics. The mind, intellect, and consciousness, Likewise, the two aspects of selflessness, The five dharmas and natures, That is the realm of the Buddhas. By characteristics, it becomes three, Arising from the cause of one habit. Like a single color, Appears in various ways on a wall. The mind and the two aspects of selflessness, The intellect and consciousness, The natures and the five dharmas, Those are not of my lineage. The nature of the mind is devoid, Consciousness and intellect are abandoned, The nature of phenomena is non-existent, That is the Tathagata's lineage. With body, speech, and mind, One should do good to that, The Tathagata's Lineage is pure, Having abandoned wandering everywhere. Joyful with clairvoyance and power, Adorned with Samadhi and strength, The body of mind is manifold, The Tathagata's virtuous lineage. Self-aware, individually, without defilement, Having abandoned the nature of cause, The eighth ground and the Buddha ground, Are the Tathagata's lineage. Excellent wisdom goes far, The Dharma cloud, the Tathagata, is also like that, Those are the lineage of the Buddhas, The remaining two vehicles are attainers. The distinctions of sentient beings' continuums, And also for the sake of characteristics, to children, The ground where the mind goes under control, The seven are explained by the Buddhas. The evil destinies of speech, body, and mind, Do not enter the seven grounds

The eighth ground is its place, Like a river of dreams, similar and the same. On the eighth and fifth grounds, Crafts, sciences, and arts, The bodhisattvas understand, And in the realm of existence, they also become kings. Birth and non-birth, emptiness and non-emptiness, Should not be investigated by the wise. Self-nature and no self-nature, Do not exist in mind-only. Truly this, oh truly this, This is wrong, it should be examined. It is taught to the self-realized hearers, But not to the sons of the Buddhas. It does not exist in mind-only, Existence and non-existence do not arise from existence. Momentariness and no characteristics, Investigation and substance also do not exist. In conventional truth, things exist, In ultimate truth, self-nature does not exist. If there is error in no self-nature, That is the truth of conventional truth. All phenomena are non-existent, I have thus established them. The speech and actions of children, Are completely abandoned from reality. The objects arising from speech, The realm of meaningful action exists. The objects arising from speech, Do not exist by view. Like a painting without a wall, Like the shadow cast by a tree trunk and so on. Likewise, the pure alaya, Is not beautiful with waves. The mind abides like a dancer, The intellect is like a laughing one, The consciousness together with the five, Understands appearance like a rainbow. The taught dharma is like a cause, Whatever is emanated by the cause, Those are the Buddhas of essence, The rest are the emanation bodies. Appearances do not have various forms, The mind is greatly deluded by appearances. Body, enjoyment, and place are similar, The alaya appears to people. Mind, intellect, and consciousness, Self-nature and the five dharmas, And the two selflessnesses, The skillful guide explains in detail. Whatever perfect Buddhas teach, The object of individual self-awareness, Is not the realm of logicians, Nor is it the realm of hearers. Relationships such as long and short, One enters into the other. Establishing existence is denying non-existence, Denying existence is establishing existence. Examining substance in atoms, Not discriminating forms. Establishing in mind-only, Is not believed by those with evil views. Emptiness is merely conceptualization, Or saying emptiness is not emptiness, That is the discrimination of existence and non-existence.
