Ra. Those with the wrong view of asserting existence perceive things as either existent or non-existent. Those who are slightly unborn will not become obstacles to slight cessation. Because they see the world as solitary, they do not grasp onto existence or non-existence. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Great Wisdom requested the Blessed One: "Blessed One, by what can I and other Bodhisattva Mahasattvas thoroughly understand the characteristics of the different aspects of the ultimate tenets, quickly realize the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and not fall into the clutches of thinkers, heretics, and all demons? Please explain to me the characteristics of the ultimate tenets. Sugata, please explain to me. Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly enlightened Buddha, please explain to me the supreme of speech."

Now the discourse begins, and it is given to those who are interested in it. Mahamati is the characteristic of the way of discourse, and you and other Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas should strive for it. To this end, it should be said: The established tenets and ways, each is the self-realized doctrine. Whoever sees the knowledge of difference, those will not be governed by discrimination. Just as children's discriminations, if true reality does not exist, just as liberation has no reality, those with discriminations will not desire it. Regarding the connection of birth and destruction, even if one observes each composite thing, both views will increase, and one will not see the opposite. If one observes the world as illusion, like a tree trunk in water, then the Nirvana that has abandoned sorrow, this alone is true. There is no desire and no hatred, no ignorance and no person, the aggregates arising from craving exist like a dream. Then, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva Mahamati again asked the Blessed One: Blessed One, please tell me the characteristics of the unreal, completely conceptualized. Sugata, please tell me. Blessed One, how, what, by what, whose unreal, completely conceptualized arises and occurs? Blessed One, if the unreal, completely conceptualized is called the unreal, completely conceptualized, Blessed One, what is this unreal, completely conceptualized? By separately examining what, will it become the unreal, completely conceptualized? The Blessed One replied: Good, good! Mahamati, you ask such a question, Mahamati, you ask for the benefit of many people, for the happiness of many people, for the love of the world, for the benefit, benefit, and happiness of gods and humans and many ordinary people, it is very good! Mahamati, therefore listen very well and keep it in mind, and I will tell you. The Bodhisattva-Mahasattva Mahamati replied: Good, Blessed One. Then, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva Mahamati listened again to the Blessed One, the Blessed One.

He spoke thus to him (Mahamati): "Mahamati, because of manifest attachment to the unreal, to the complete fabrication of various distinct meanings, the discriminations of beings arise and occur. Mahamati, those who are manifestly attached and cling to the grasped and the grasper, and those beings who do not understand that their own minds are mere appearances, Mahamati, those whose habits of discriminating separately the views of the tirthikas who have fallen into the extreme of viewing existence and non-existence are extremely developed, those who are manifestly attached to focusing on various external objects, and those who are manifestly attached to self and what belongs to self, therefore proclaim discriminations, and many minds and mental events arise and occur. Mahamati asked: "Bhagavan, if the discriminations of beings arise and occur because of manifest attachment to the unreal, to the complete fabrication of various distinct meanings, those who have fallen into the extreme of existence and non-existence and see, the grasped and the grasper, and the views of the tirthikas, those whose habits of discriminating separately are developed, those who are manifestly attached to focusing on various external objects, and those who do not recognize that their own minds are mere appearances, and those who are manifestly attached to various things that exist and do not exist, therefore proclaim discriminations, and many minds and mental events arise and occur, Bhagavan, how are the characteristics of various external objects, the characteristics of falling into the extreme of existence and non-existence, the characteristics of seeing as separate from things that exist and things that do not exist, how are these to be prevented? Bhagavan, is the ultimate truth also separately prevented from the characteristics of valid cognition, and sense organs, and parts, and examples, and causes? Bhagavan, do those who are manifestly attached to the existence and non-existence of various unreal things in one separately discriminate and do discriminations arise? How is it that discriminations do not arise in those who are manifestly attached to the characteristics of the ultimate truth and who discriminate? Bhagavan, does it arise in one and not arise in another? If you say so, will you not be speaking of a dissimilar cause to those who are manifestly attached to the extreme of existence and non-existence? If you say that the view of unreal discrimination arises, illusion
