Since there is no expression, then all things also exist. World-Honored One, if things do not exist, then expression will not arise either. Since it arises, then for its sake there is no expression, therefore, World-Honored One, all things also exist. The World-Honored One said: Great Wisdom, things that do not exist also have something to be expressed, such as the horns of rabbits, the fur of turtles, the sons of barren women, etc., although they appear to be expressible in the world. But Great Wisdom, those are neither things nor non-things, but they can be expressed. Therefore, Great Wisdom, because there is something to be expressed, so all things exist, your statement is wrong. Great Wisdom, expression is not known in all Buddha lands. Great Wisdom, expression is fabricated. Great Wisdom, in some Buddha lands, the Dharma is taught by not blinking, some by squinting, some by moving eyebrows, some by blinking, some by laughing, some by opening their mouths, some by making sounds from their throats, some by remembering fields, and some by moving their bodies. Great Wisdom, for example, in the Buddha land of the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha Samantabhadra, in the world called Unblinking Fragrant Aroma, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, by watching without blinking, obtain the forbearance of non-origination of dharmas, and other differences in samadhi. Great Wisdom, therefore, because there is expression, it is not right that all things exist. Great Wisdom, this also appears in this world, like the differences of beings such as insects and bees, even without expression, they can do their own things. To this it is said: The sky, rabbit horns, etc., and the son of a barren woman, although non-existent, are spoken of, likewise is the thought of things. The aggregation of causes and conditions, arising from fabricated imaginations, if this principle is not well understood, one will greatly wander in the three realms.

Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Mahamati asked the Blessed One: "Blessed One, where did the Blessed One also speak of the sound of permanence?" The Blessed One said: "Mahamati, because this error appears to even the noble ones as not being inverted, it is spoken of as error. For example, Mahamati, in the world, unwise people perceive mirages, fire wheels, tangled hair, Gandharva cities, illusions, dreams, reflections, and eye diseases as inverted, but wise people do not, nor are they non-appearing. Mahamati, that error appears in many ways, so error is not considered impermanent. Why is that? For example, because things and non-things are completely abandoned. How then, Mahamati, are the things and non-things of error completely abandoned? For example, because ghosts see and do not see, like ocean waves and Ganges water, for all children's various places of enjoyment. Therefore, for that reason, Mahamati, error is not a thing. In this way, water appears to others, so it is also not a non-thing. Thus, error for the noble ones is the complete abandonment of inversion and non-inversion. In this way, Mahamati, for that reason, for example, because the nature of characteristics is not different, error is permanent. Mahamati, error is various characteristics, discriminated in many ways, even if discriminated, it does not become different, therefore, for that reason, Mahamati, error is permanent. Mahamati, how then is error Suchness? Mahamati, in this way, for this error, the inverted consciousness of the noble ones does not arise, nor is it a non-inverted consciousness. Mahamati, the noble ones for this error, there is nothing other than thinking of it as 'Jnana', nor is it thinking of it as the thing of noble wisdom. Mahamati, the word 'Jnana' is spoken by children, not by the noble ones. Ma-
