O assembly of healers, at what time, on what day, did I hear this profound Dharma discourse, that on that very day I attained the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, manifestly realizing Buddhahood. O assembly of healers, this Dharma discourse is profound! It is difficult to encounter this Dharma discourse! O assembly of healers, the appearance of the Tathāgatas is also exceedingly rare! O assembly of healers, those who uphold this Dharma discourse are also exceedingly rare! All those who hear this Dharma discourse will attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, manifestly realizing Buddhahood. O assembly of healers, they will subdue saṃsāra for a thousand kalpas. They will easily obtain a pure Buddha-field. They will also easily understand cessation and the path. They will have the fortune to easily understand the place. They will have the fortune to easily understand the virtuous place. They will have clairvoyance and the fortune to easily understand the virtuous place. They will have the fortune to easily understand the virtuous place and cessation. O assembly of healers, why is it called cessation? They replied: O Bhagavan, the place of Dharma is called meaning. The Bhagavan said: O assembly of healers, what is the place of Dharma? They replied: O Bhagavan, what is called Dharma is the very undertaking of diligence, the very guarding of morality, and being endowed with morality; it is called the treasure of Dharma. O Bhagavan, this is where the treasure of Dharma arises. The Bhagavan said: O assembly of healers, it is good, good that you think of completely asking the Tathāgata about this meaning! They replied: O Bhagavan, for what reason do the Tathāgatas appear in the world? The Bhagavan said: O assembly of healers, those who are learned and endowed with great wisdom will know well the appearance of the Tathāgatas. Having known the appearance of the Tathāgatas, they will know well that the appearance of the Tathāgatas is the place of happiness. When the Tathāgatas appear in the world, then sentient beings will know well all Dharmas. Through skillful means, they will know well the Dharmas. Worldly and beyond worldly

All past dharmas are fully known. All wisdoms of the world and beyond are fully known. I ask, how should one seek to transcend suffering through the realization of wisdom? The Blessed One said: O assembly of healers, knowing the Dharma well, you know the Dharma well. O assembly of healers, thus knowing well how to gather the sacred Dharma, the first gain arises. Holding the Dharma as it is heard, one will surely gain the benefit of being in accordance with the Dharma. O assembly of healers, it is like this: for example, a certain merchant carries a thousand measures of gold, and goes for the sake of profit. His parents say this: Son, listen, carry a thousand measures of gold and take good care of the gold of others and yourself. The merchant takes the gold and goes, and after about a month, all the gold is completely wasted and gone. Then that person thinks and is very unhappy, and his heart is pierced by the thorn of sorrow, and he is ashamed and embarrassed and does not go home. When his parents hear this, they are very disappointed, and their hearts are pierced by the thorn of sorrow, and they even tear their clothes and lament: This bad son was born in our house in the form of a son, and has destroyed all our household affairs. He is of no use to us and has caused us suffering. Let him be made to do the work of a servant! Thus they cry out in lamentation. His parents are so disappointed that they grieve at the time of their death. Then the son hears that his parents were disappointed in him and grieved at the time of their death. Hearing this, the son is also very disappointed and dies. Similarly, O assembly of healers, the Tathagata has explained this meaning, that those who do not believe in my teachings will be in despair and at the time of death, their hearts will be pierced by the thorn of sorrow, and they will die. Just as those parents were disappointed and grieved for the gold, and their hearts were pierced by the thorn of sorrow, and they were filled with the thorn of sorrow for the gold of others and themselves, so too, O assembly of healers, those who do not believe in my teachings will later, at the time of death, beat their breasts and lament, and experience the feeling of suffering, and waste the merits accumulated from past actions, and henceforth will not perform merits like a good field. Their hearts...

Because of having the pain of evil, at that time, at that moment, sentient beings will be born in hell, the realm of animals, and the world of Yama. Seeing the extremely unbearable state, at the time of death, one thinks like this: Where can sentient beings not fall into hell, animals, hungry ghosts, and the world of Yama, and not experience that painful feeling, who can become my protector? His parents said this: Child, how can the great terror of disease not occur? Although afraid of sickness and death, but child, you will not die. From the fear and dread of disease, you will be liberated. My own consciousness has stopped, causing great harm to my body. All limbs are painful, I have seen death. My eyes cannot see, and my ears cannot hear. The nose also cannot obtain, and the body's color is not comfortable. Limbs and twigs are painful, like wood without feeling. My death will not come, mother has exhausted my joy. The mother said: Child, you should not say that, do not make me very afraid. Because your body is infected with disease, you will see all kinds of sights. The son said: The body has not been infected with disease, there is no sickness and no pain. I have seen extremely unbearable death, my body has been destroyed by pain. If I see my whole body tormented by pain, to whom should I go for refuge? Who will become my protector? The parents said: Child, the gods also greatly blame you, if you make offerings to the gods, you can live under their protection. The son said: Who can make me live? Please do that. Please go quickly and swiftly, and ask the divine shaman. Then his parents went to the shrine of the gods and offered incense to the gods. Then the divine shaman offered incense to the gods and said these words: The gods blame you, forget the gods! Make offerings and give alms! Slaughter livestock! Slaughter people too! After that, your son will be completely freed from disease. Then those parents thought: I
