If it is said, "Do not sew," then those people will also say it to others, and they themselves will always do it. See what the heap of morality of those foolish people will become. Sharadvatiputra, those who perceive what is Dharma as non-Dharma, and what is non-Dharma as Dharma, what is discipline as non-discipline, and what is discipline as non-discipline, what is reason as non-reason, and what is non-reason as reason, what is liberation as non-liberation, and what is non-liberation as liberation. Sharadvatiputra, those people neither understand discipline nor can fathom the Teacher's teachings. See to what extent that time will be reversed. Sharadvatiputra, those sentient beings are overwhelmed by anger, hatred, and jealousy, and are overwhelmed by pride. They praise themselves and slander others. They are completely endowed with jealousy and stinginess. They are filled with non-virtuous Dharma and completely deprived of all virtuous Dharma, and they cannot be saved. Sharadvatiputra, those sentient beings are to be completely abandoned. Sharadvatiputra, I am the teacher of those who know shame, but I am not the teacher of those who do not know shame. Sharadvatiputra, I am the teacher of those who have mindfulness, but I am not the teacher of those who are forgetful. Sharadvatiputra, I am the teacher of those who have wisdom, but I am not the teacher of those who have shallow wisdom. Sharadvatiputra, those whom the Tathagata has taught for a long time, and those who, having been taught by the Tathagata, have attained the Dharma nature of the great beings, and in any case, the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who correctly practice that Dharma nature, thereby manifesting the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, and liberating immeasurable beings from the net of afflictions, the wisdom of choosing those Bodhisattvas, and those Dharmas that the Tathagata treats with reverence.
