It is because of reason. What difference would there be then? I should strive to manifest and accomplish such a body. These sentient beings are filled with jealousy and anger, tormented by the disease of great illness. If I were to follow all these sentient beings, they would be unreasonable, and I would be reasonable. What difference would there be then? I should strive to manifest and accomplish such a body. Alas! I should be without jealousy, not be miserly, without ignorance, free from desire, free from hatred, free from delusion. And also generate a mind of loving-kindness towards these sentient beings, generate compassion. Which path should these sentient beings enter, where desire, hatred, delusion, jealousy, anger, miserliness, hypocrisy, flattery, baseness, and all pride are completely cut off, abandoned, not relied upon, not cultivated, not increased? I should seek that path. Sharadvati's son, in this way, Prince Auspicious Virtue was unhappy and diligently striving with sorrow, not playing, not rejoicing, not enjoying pleasure, and not looking at anyone's face. Sharadvati's son, King Gift of Protection heard that Prince Auspicious Virtue was not playing, not rejoicing, not enjoying pleasure, and even closed the door when he saw women. Having heard this, King Gift of Protection and the Mother of Beings, Jewel Woman, thought to themselves: It would not be good if Prince Auspicious Virtue were to be treated with displeasure or displeasure by anyone. He does not play, does not rejoice, does not enjoy pleasure, and even closes the door when he sees women. I must ask him about this. Then King Gift of Protection and the chief Mother of Beings went to where Prince Auspicious Virtue was, and spoke to Prince Auspicious Virtue with verses: Mansions perform Dharma, and those who perform Dharma are noble.

Put into it. Likewise, filled with those like daughters of gods, When the various trees and plants make the garden beautiful, Why does the youth not delight in that home? Lofty mansions and strong wooden fences are erected, Let this city rule over all kingdoms, If here all this world appears, Why does the youth not delight in that home? Today, who said something displeasing to you? How did such unpleasantness happen to you? Like a merchant wasting a great fortune, Why are you here alone, worrying? I am your father, and this is your mother, Please tell us what you are asking. Since I am now the lord of the world, To whom shall I inflict a great punishment today? Then, the son of Sharadvati, the king's youth, the supreme of merit, spoke again to his parents in verses: No one has said anything displeasing to me, Since there are no words, how shall I speak? I beseech you, do not inflict punishment on anyone, Please inflict punishment on your own mind. When I am playing in this water, I saw the body of the guide, Possessing hundreds of thousands of golden rays of the world, Illuminating all directions, exceedingly beautiful. The light of the earth and likewise the light of fire, The light of the moon and likewise the light of the sun, In its presence, all do not exist, Father, I have seen such a body. My mind, how is it like the form of wisdom? I wish I could become such a body. May I liberate beings afflicted by old age and disease, May I bring happiness to those with afflicted minds. The body of wisdom and strength and power, And inconceivable, what is such a body like? I shall accomplish great benefit for people, I shall deliver beings dwelling in the lower realms. I am satisfied with play, I am satisfied with joy, I am satisfied with family and women. I shall renounce everything and completely ordain, Having been taught by the Buddhas, I shall become a Buddha. Having worn the saffron robes, Having ordained, I shall practice the Dharma. Father, you too, ordain here, Abandon the kingdom and practice the Dharma. I shall always seek the Dharma, I shall always practice the Dharma properly. Clinging to desires does not bring happiness and well-being, All pure (things)
