Those who enter without abiding in a place, they are said to have attained Nirvana. When one has attained Nirvana there, there is no sign of Dharma at all. Although it is said that it is Nirvana, Nirvana is unspeakable. Nothing goes to it, and there is no going. Whoever understands it as it is, they know that they have attained Nirvana. There is no combination and no creation, no defilement and no letters, no person and no life, it is also said to be Nirvana. Distinguishing between existence and non-existence, distinction is also non-existent. That thought is also empty, and it is thought of as Nirvana. The Dharma of the distant is not seen, and the near is not seen either. Whatever the nature of all Dharmas is, it is well known even at the time of death. Whoever, with such Dharma, listens and knows accordingly, they will be without hesitation, and there will be no ignorance. Seeing happiness, guarding without hesitation, being fearless of all Dharmas, having removed all doubts, they will be without hesitation. The fearless Bodhisattva, for the sake of compassion for all sentient beings, acts by cutting off hesitation, and cuts off the hesitation of Dharma. The seal of all Dharmas, for the sake of liberation from all speech, is shown by the supreme declaration, do not hesitate about it. It is said that contention is destruction, and by it one will go to the lower realms. Those who rely on the root, they have not known the body. It is said that the meaning is accomplished, but there is no dwelling place for those who have attained the meaning. Those who go to that place, they are close to Bodhi. Sharadvatiputra, moreover, the Bodhisattva has a firm desire in four places, namely, manifestation and, dwelling in a solitary place and, seeing the Tathagata and, seeing suffering sentient beings, thinking, when will I be able to perfectly accomplish this Great Vehicle, in order to liberate those sentient beings from all suffering, and teach the Dharma? Thinking thus, he puts on armor. Sharadvatiputra, how is the Bodhisattva Mahasattva firm in unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment, and with what kind of desire does the Bodhisattva Mahasattva attain the wisdom of the Buddha?

Therefore, to practice correctly, listen well and keep it in mind, and I will tell you. Sharadvatiputra, in the past, in an immeasurable and vast age of countless eons, at that time, the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyaksambuddha, Vidyacharana-sampanna, Sugata, Lokavidu, Anuttara-purusha-damyasarathi, Shasta Devamanushyanam, Buddha, Bhagavan, named King of Bliss, appeared in the world. Sharadvatiputra, the lifespan of the Tathagata King of Bliss was seventy thousand years. The Tathagata, Arhat, Samyaksambuddha King of Bliss, at the first gathering of his Shravaka assembly, had twenty million kotis of Arhats. At the second gathering, there were forty million kotis of Arhats. At the third gathering, there were sixty thousand kotis of Arhats. At that time, Jambudvipa was vast and wide, with ninety million kotis of yojanas. At that time, there were eighty-four thousand cities in Jambudvipa. All the cities were made of the seven precious substances: gold, silver, crystal, conch, agate, gemstones, and the seventh, red pearls, which were radiant and pleasing to the eye, twelve yojanas in length and width, and seven yojanas in width. All the cities were prosperous, flourishing, peaceful, delightful, bountiful, and filled with many people. All these great cities were surrounded by seven layers of walls and seven layers of moats. All the moats were filled with water, with flowing water everywhere, covered with blue lotuses, lotuses, water lilies, and white lotuses, with water birds making sounds, and various kinds of birds, such as swans, cranes, peacocks, parrots, partridges, cuckoos, and hoopoes, making pleasant sounds. All the banks of the moats had gold trees, the branches were silver, the leaves were made of lapis lazuli, and the leaves were
