It is for the sake of being called "those." After this was reported, the Blessed One said to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Good Protector: Good Protector, where do you dwell that you speak like this? Good Protector reported: Blessed One, I dwell in whatever world I dwell, and I speak like that, not like children who are attached. What is it that children are attached to? It is contention. For what do they cling to contention? It is for that that they contend and vehemently contend. Blessed One, the world is not abiding. How is the world not abiding? In the place of illusion, the world does not abide, but children argue that my place is the place of the world. That is not the realm of children. In the place of mirages, the world does not abide, and in the place of impermanence, the world does not abide, that is because children are afraid. In the place of optical illusions, the world does not abide, because it is with the noble ones It is not contrary. In the place of the unpleasant, the world does not abide, that is because children initiate karma. Blessed One, in this place of the world, there is no room for worldly disputes. Blessed One, since this is the case, my place is only the place of the world. Then, the Blessed One said to the Bodhisattva Good Protector: Good Protector, do you speak like this because you truly see the Dharma? He reported: Blessed One, whatever are the Dharmas, those are the very things that the Blessed One has not fully awakened to. After this was reported, the Blessed One said to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Good Protector: Good Protector, have I not fully awakened to all the Dharmas? He reported: Blessed One, have the Dharmas fully awakened to enlightenment? Are those that the Blessed One has fully awakened to also the Dharmas? Or are they without Dharmas? The Blessed One said: Good Protector, well done, well done. Thus

Those dharmas by which the Tathagata has manifestly and perfectly awakened are not dharmas, nor are they without dharmas. Well-guarded one, my wisdom does not operate in that, nor does the eye enter, nor does it know beings, nor does the mind enter, nor does it know appearances, nor does it completely cut off, nor does it grasp. Those are neither all afflictions nor are they completely purified. Well-guarded one, however, if I were to teach the perception of conduct without characteristics and the dharmas of conduct without characteristics, well-guarded one, beings would be confused about that. Well-guarded one, no one can be found or seen who is content with those dharmas except for the Tathagata and the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the last existence. Well-guarded one, even those Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who are the last existence and those who are bound by one birth, if they hear the teaching of those dharmas, they will be afraid, so what need is there to mention other inferior beings than those? It is impossible for them to realize those dharmas. Well-guarded one, there will come a time when monks and nuns, as well as laymen and laywomen, will appear who have not cultivated their bodies, who have not cultivated their minds, who have not cultivated their morality, and who have not cultivated their wisdom. Well-guarded one, such a time will come when those who do not engage in non-conceptual and without all afflictions, without appearance, enlightenment of the Tathagatas, hearing the Tathagata's treasury and the Dharma treasury, the categories of Dharma that are taught, will be afraid and terrified, and will also fall into a great precipice. The Tathagata said that all dharmas are manifestly and perfectly awakened, and it was also said that my wisdom does not enter into that, nor does the eye enter, nor does the mind enter. Therefore, for those monks who hold such Sutras, those who have minds that have become harmful and those who have minds that have become hateful will generate the thought of killing and will also generate the thought of strife. Well-guarded one.

Those who disturb me will be completely accepted, and those who clearly demonstrate my correct wisdom will be despised. Look at how inverted that time becomes. Good Guardian, the Tathagata has no teacher and is self-born, and now accurately roars the lion's roar within the retinue. Those foolish people do not understand the Tathagata, nor do they understand the Dharma-nature of the Tathagata. Since they do not understand and have not seen, at that time, whatever is my praise, they will generate the idea of non-praise; and whatever is not my praise, they will generate the idea of praise. Good Guardian, what is not my praise? Good Guardian, whatever Dharma holds onto some Dharma, Good Guardian, that is not my praise. At that time, they will become speakers of non-praise, disturbers, revilers of monks, base monks, corrupt monks, monks like rotten wood, holders of the views of other heretics' realms, those who practice in duality, those who speak of permanence and annihilation, those who hold onto Dharma and abide in Dharma-conceit, those with elaboration, those with manifestation and fabrication, those who delight in worldly gossip, those who practice in samsara, those who turn away from the path of correct view—I have clearly indicated. At that time, they will become holders of the idea of ultimate meaning, holders of fire offerings, non-braided ones, speakers of karma, speakers of agents. Good Guardian, if there were such a samadhi, they too would awaken to complete perfect enlightenment. Good Guardian, after I have completely passed into nirvana, those will see faults in terms of actions and agents, and having obtained reversal, will go forth in my teaching and cause those dharmas to decline. Good Guardian, therefore, after I have completely passed into nirvana, those foolish people will be like fire-offering braided ones, the aged, the
