O Blessed One, by this root of virtue, may the Buddha-fields of those sons and daughters of good family who have generated the mind for unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment be completely purified. May all sentient beings be fully matured. Why is that? O Blessed One, it is difficult to teach the Dharma to sentient beings who are not fully matured, and to those sentient beings who have not generated roots of virtue, and to those with small roots of virtue, and to those who are devoted to the inferior. Why is that? O Blessed One, from this lotus like a hand, one sees as many world realms as one wishes to see, and from this very lotus like a hand, one also sees the world realm called Heap of Jewels of the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Supreme Leader of Infinite Jewels. In that world realm, one also sees those Bodhisattvas who have truly entered the Great Vehicle. There, one also sees those Hearers who are mostly endowed with the three kinds of knowledge and endowed with the six kinds of knowledge. O Blessed One, in that Buddha-field of that Tathagata, those lotuses are manifestly accomplished by the great maturation of karma. O Blessed One, since it is so, I dedicate this root of virtue so that the Bodhisattvas may be without obscurations towards all dharmas. O Blessed One, I also dedicate this root of virtue so that those Bodhisattvas who have not generated the mind for unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment may generate the mind for enlightenment. I also dedicate this root of virtue in such a way that the Tathagata perfectly awakens to the suchness of all dharmas, and perfectly awakens to the suchness without confusion. Then, the Blessed One said to the Bodhisattva Good Protector: Good Protector, do you know what Maitreya has said? What are those dharmas by which the Tathagata has perfectly awakened? He replied: O Blessed One, whatever suchness the Tathagata has perfectly awakened to,

to attain Buddhahood, and those dharmas of Akshobhya Buddha's perfect enlightenment do not exist. O Blessed One, thus the Tathagata does not fixate on those dharmas, and those are neither dharmas nor non-dharmas. O Blessed One, if one were to fixate on a certain dharma, then the Tathagata would only fixate on the concept of dharma, but concepts are not fixated upon. Why is that? O Blessed One, all concepts do not exist; for the moment, if the Tathagata does not even fixate on himself, what need is there to speak of accurately fixating on concepts? What need is there to speak of accurately applying the concept of dharma to all dharmas? O Blessed One, those dharmas are just like concepts. Because of this, the Blessed One did not say to grasp any dharma, did not say to be liberated from it, did not say to completely transcend it, nor did he say to attain it. Why is that? O Blessed One, if the Tathagata were to seek all dharmas, from where should he seek them? Those dharmas are suchness, and in suchness there is no Tathagata; the Tathagata is suchness, and the Tathagata exists in the form of suchness; the Tathagata is without characteristics, and the Tathagata exists in the form of being without characteristics; the Tathagata is separated from characteristics, and the Tathagata exists in the form of being separated from characteristics; the Tathagata is unfindable, and the Tathagata exists in the form of being unfindable; the Tathagata is without disturbance, and the Tathagata exists in the form of being without disturbance; all dharmas are just like the Tathagata, and the Tathagata exists in the form of being as they are. O Blessed One, thus all dharmas are the Tathagata. O Blessed One, therefore the Tathagata abides in lotuses, and just as he abides in lotuses, so too is it similar that he abides in the nature of the Tathagata and the nature of the Buddha. Those who do not grasp or fixate on where they abide are the objects of generosity in the world.
