Just as that, the element of earth also does not go beyond that suchness. Just as enlightenment is, so too the element of water, the element of fire, and the element of wind do not go beyond that suchness. Manjushri, just as enlightenment is, so too the element of the eye, the element of form, and the element of eye consciousness do not go beyond that suchness. Just as enlightenment is, so too the element of the ear, the element of sound, the element of ear consciousness, the element of the nose, the element of smell, the element of nose consciousness, the element of the tongue, the element of taste, the element of tongue consciousness, the element of the body, the element of touch, the element of body consciousness, the element of mind, the element of dharma, and the element of mind consciousness do not go beyond that suchness. The designation of dharma is limited to this extent, that is, it is designated as aggregates, elements, and sources. The Tathagata has perfectly awakened to those as they truly are, and has perfectly awakened without reversing them. Those are as they were before, so they are later, and so they are in the middle, the former end is unborn, the latter end does not transmigrate, and the middle is truth. Thus, those are the places as they are, as one is, so is all, as all is, so is one, Manjushri, for this, there is no object of focus in either oneness or multiplicity. Manjushri, enlightenment is entering into the formless by entering into form, Manjushri, what is form for that, and what is formless? Manjushri, the so-called form is the undertaking of all virtuous dharmas. The so-called formless is that all dharmas are without object. The so-called form is the state of mind not abiding. The so-called formless is the samadhi of the signless, the door of liberation. The so-called form is thinking, measuring, counting, and distinguishing all dharmas. The so-called formless is that which has completely transcended measurement, and what is it that has completely transcended measurement? It is that in which there is no activity of discriminating consciousness. The so-called form is the distinguishing of compounded phenomena. The so-called formless is
