逝世之语使天之美者龙，彼乃欢喜且极好满足者。彼之刹那于地双膝着地，向佛双足至上者敬礼。能仁于三界作利乐，向智慧决定寂静者敬礼。行持之时学您之行迹，生起菩提不动之心。为利有情行持之时，身与命亦如是舍弃后，愿成脱离痛苦之佛，愿获菩提寂静无上。知晓彼龙之想法后，胜者战胜魔众而微笑，其时如恒河沙数之，无量佛刹土为光明所遍。如来示现微笑时，虚空之神赞叹曰善哉，唉玛！胜者调伏尘垢之自在者，您与无等者之上无有。众多佛刹土皆大震动，欲天与眷属皆极愚昧。众多天众心极欢喜，向胜者自在能仁敬礼。导师之声闻神通广大之至上者，目犍连子向胜者请问，以何因缘作此无数之微笑？薄伽梵善逝因何缘何？目犍连子再次向胜者请问，断除疑惑胜者作是言，供养我之此龙，未来之时将成佛。如此之多刹土为光明所遍者，彼等一切将成胜者一刹土。因此胜者将如是成佛，引导者之名号为自在幢。无量无数兆亿众生， 彼将度脱众生至彼岸，依此我乃示现微笑。目犍连子您当如是知晓。闻彼龙之授记后，为无上者之欢喜所遍。闻授记后从此虚空中，显现高至八十多罗树。于十方清净胜者刹土中，见贤善无量之诸佛，见已向佛双足至上者，以种种偈颂赞叹胜者。利益有情胜者战胜魔众，调伏自在且

The speech of the departed made the beauty of the gods, the Naga. He was delighted and well pleased. In that instant, he knelt on the ground and prostrated to the supreme feet of the Buddha. The Able One brings benefit and happiness to the three realms. I prostrate to the wisdom that is certainly peaceful. When practicing, I will follow in your footsteps and generate an unwavering mind of enlightenment. When practicing for the sake of sentient beings, having given up body and life in the same way, may I become a Buddha who is liberated from suffering, and may I attain the supreme peace of enlightenment. Having understood the thoughts of that Naga, the Victorious One, victorious over the enemy, smiled. At that time, like the sands of the Ganges, infinite Buddha fields were filled with light. When the Sugata showed his smile, the gods of the sky exclaimed, "Well done!" Emaho! The Victorious One subdues the Lord of Dust. There is no one above you and the incomparable. Many Buddha fields were greatly shaken, and the gods of desire and their retinues were extremely foolish. Many hosts of gods were very happy and prostrated to the Victorious Lord, the Able One. The chief of the Teacher's Shravakas, the great miracle worker, Maudgalyayana, asked the Victorious One, "For what reason did you make this immeasurable smile? Blessed One, Sugata, what is the cause and what is the condition?" Maudgalyayana asked the Victorious One again, and the Victorious One, cutting off doubts, said, "This Naga who makes offerings to me will become a Buddha in the future. As many fields as are filled with light, all of them will become one field of the Victorious One. Therefore, the Victorious One will become a Buddha in this way, and the name of the guide will be Dhvaja-Indra (自在幢). Countless billions of beings, He will liberate beings to the other shore. Based on this, I have shown my smile. Maudgalyayana, you should know this in this way." After hearing the prophecy of that Naga, he was filled with the joy of the unsurpassed ones. After hearing the prophecy, from this space, he appeared to be eighty tala trees high. In the pure Victorious One's fields in the ten directions, he saw the virtuous and immeasurable Buddhas. 如是宣说珍宝。光明作，真实语，向您敬礼！善逝，无词句之愚昧者，向您敬礼！此后，龙王海以偈颂之音向薄伽梵请问：救脱怖畏，咒语解脱者，向您敬礼！修持之时，以何等方便，能从怖畏中解脱，使众生得度？祈请赐予我，步入救脱怖畏之道。如何引导自身从怖畏中解脱，并使众生彻底从怖畏中解脱？听闻您善说之教言后，我将以永不满足之心修持。执持大水的龙王海，为利益众生而向导师请问。怀着敬畏和谦卑，依靠着，在人王面前恭敬地坐着。导师领会其心意后，如何修持才能远离怖畏，并使众生从怖畏中解脱？以具足八支之语作了授记。应随顺修持菩提，不以棍棒刀剑伤害众生，广为示导。对于水、旱以及战争等怖畏，再三施予无畏。因此，他做了善妙之业，不堕入怖畏，终将触及菩提。以平等安住的慈爱之心，能令极其难忍的魔力，极度惊恐。具十力之智者，令海欢喜，彼于顷刻间双膝跪地，不住于怖畏，寂静安住，合掌向善逝敬礼。于一切有中，我不执着，向您敬礼！具足无惧无畏者，向您敬礼！我将从恐惧和怖畏中救度众生，愿如来您成为我的无惧者。此后，龙王金顶以偈颂之音向薄伽梵请问：大仙，善目，具力调御者！超越有之大海，到达彼岸。安住于陆地，渴爱已尽之殊胜士夫！为利众生，祈请您垂听我的请求。如何修持，我才能获得善逝之身，并能安住于胜者之教法中，纵使千魔亦不能动摇？祈请您为我宣说这些修行之法！于佛陀之行境中，不摇动。

Thus spoke the jewel. Obeisance to you, the light-maker, the speaker of truth! Obeisance to the Sugata, devoid of verbal delusion! Then, the Dragon King Ocean requested the Blessed One with a verse: Obeisance to you, the reliever of fear, the liberator from mantras! When practicing, by what means can one be freed from fear and liberate beings? Please grant me the path to relieve fear. How to guide oneself to be free from fear, and to liberate beings thoroughly from fear? Having heard your well-spoken teachings, I will practice with an insatiable mind. The Dragon King Ocean, holder of great waters, asks the teacher for the benefit of beings. With fear and humility, relying on that, he sits respectfully before the king of men. Understanding his intention, how to practice to be free from fear, and to liberate sentient beings from fear? He prophesied with words endowed with eight qualities. One should follow the practice of enlightenment, and without sticks or weapons, greatly show the way to beings. For the fears of water, drought, and war, again and again grant fearlessness. Because of that, he has done good deeds, does not go to fear, and will touch enlightenment. With a loving mind of equanimity, one can make the unbearable power of demons extremely terrified. The Knower of the Ten Powers rejoiced the ocean, and in that instant, he knelt on the ground, not dwelling in fear, dwelling peacefully, and paying homage to the Sugata with folded hands. In all existence, I do not dwell, I pay homage! Obeisance to you, who possess fearlessness and freedom from fear! I will deliver beings from anxiety and fear, may the Tathagata become my fearless one. Then, the Dragon King Golden Crest requested the Blessed One with a verse: Great ascetic, virtuous eye, powerful tamer! Crossing the ocean of existence, reaching the other shore. Dwelling on dry land, the supreme person who has exhausted craving! For the sake of beings, please listen to my request. How should I practice to attain the body of the Sugata, and to abide in the Victorious One's teachings, unshaken even by thousands of demons? Please grant me these practices! Unwavering in the conduct of the Buddha.
