He fully knows those causes and conditions as they truly are. If he dwells contemplating impermanence, or if he dwells contemplating suffering, or if he contemplates internally, or if he contemplates the result, or if he contemplates as a thorn, or if he contemplates as sin, or if he contemplates as harm, or if he contemplates as small, or if he contemplates as destruction, or if he contemplates as instability, or if he contemplates as extreme destruction, or if he contemplates as a contagious disease, or if he contemplates as emptiness, or if he contemplates as selflessness, or if he contemplates as without respite, or if he dwells contemplating faults, or if he dwells contemplating definite departure, the Tathagata fully knows as it truly is. This is called knowledge of the origin of abiding knowledge, which the Tathagata fully knows as it truly is. Householder, furthermore, the Tathagata knows thus: this person, having generated roots of virtue in those millions of kotis of Tathagatas, is called definite departure from abiding knowledge. Householder, thus the Tathagata fully knows the knowledge of the origin of abiding knowledge as it truly is. If someone were to ask the Tathagata about the knowledge of the origin of abiding knowledge, answering from one kalpa up to unspeakable unspeakable kalpas,

Having worked for the benefit of beings, showing the cessation of non-benefit, dispelling darkness, completely liberating immeasurable beings from suffering, and establishing them in happiness, the Tathagata knows perfectly well the knowledge of the cessation of abiding consciousness. Householder, furthermore, the Tathagata knows perfectly well in this way: when aggregates separate, abiding consciousness ceases, and when aggregates combine, abiding consciousness arises, and that is the nature of being unborn from the very beginning. Householder, in this way, the Tathagata knows perfectly well the knowledge of the cessation of abiding consciousness. Even if asked about the Tathagata's knowledge of the cessation of abiding consciousness, he could answer from one kalpa to countless kalpas, and his eloquence would never be exhausted. Householder, why is that? Because the Tathagata has thoroughly comprehended the unsurpassed realm of Dharma with wisdom. Because the Tathagata has comprehended it, his eloquence in answering questions about the knowledge of the cessation of abiding consciousness is inexhaustible. Therefore, whoever's wisdom and vision enter here without obstruction will enjoy this sandalwood hall and mansion. Householder, how does the Tathagata perfectly know the path to the cessation of abiding consciousness? Householder, here, the Tathagata knows and fully comprehends the knowledge of the path by which abiding consciousness will cease, and he perfectly knows that knowledge which has been directly realized. Whether one abides in contemplating without taste, or abides in contemplating faults, or abides in contemplating definite departure, the Tathagata perfectly knows it. This is called the knowledge of the path to the cessation of abiding consciousness. Even if asked about the Tathagata's knowledge of the path to the cessation of abiding consciousness, he could answer from one kalpa to countless kalpas, and his eloquence would never be exhausted. Householder, why is that? Because the Tathagata has thoroughly comprehended the unsurpassed realm of Dharma with wisdom.

For the Tathagata you have comprehended, I have inexhaustible courage to ask about the knowledge of places and the knowledge of the path that obstructs them. Therefore, whoever enters the vision of wisdom without obstruction will enjoy this sandalwood courtyard and pavilion. Furthermore, householder, how does the Tathagata thoroughly know the knowledge of non-places as it is? Householder, the Tathagata thoroughly knows this: Whatever is the ripening of karma from evil deeds of the body, that is, the accomplishment of desires, suffering, and unpleasant things, is not a place, nor is it a time. Whatever is the ripening of karma from evil deeds of speech and evil deeds of mind, that is, the accomplishment of desires, suffering, and unpleasant things, is not a place, nor is it a time. Whatever is the ripening of karma from evil deeds of body, evil deeds of speech, and evil deeds of mind, which leads to rebirth in the happy realms and heavens after the dissolution of the body and death, is not a place, nor is it a time. Evil deeds of speech and evil deeds of mind are also the same. Whatever is the ripening of karma from good deeds of the body, that is, the manifest accomplishment of undesirable, unpleasant, and displeasing things, is not a place, nor is it a time. Good deeds of speech and good deeds of mind are also the same. Whatever is the ripening of karma from good deeds of the body, which leads to falling into bad destinies, bad migrations, and wrong paths, and being born in the hells of sentient beings after the dissolution of the body and death, and similarly, whatever is the ripening of karma from good deeds of speech and good deeds of mind, which leads to falling into bad destinies, bad migrations, and wrong paths, and being born in the hells of sentient beings after the dissolution of the body and death, is not a place, nor is it a time. Intentionally taking life by a person with perfect views, as well as killing one's father, as well as killing an Arhat, as well as dividing the Sangha, as well as drawing blood from the Tathagata with malicious intent, is not a place, nor is it a time. A person with perfect views who disparages other teachers, as well as other outsiders also
