The Tathagata knows the root of omniscience, and when asked about it again, he answers from the kalpa onwards, and he will enjoy himself in this space between the sandalwood courtyard and the pavilion. Householder, how does the Tathagata know the root of omniscience, the knowledge of arising, as it is? Householder, here, with what cause and what condition does the Tathagata know the root of omniscience, the knowledge of arising, truly accomplished? If one dwells contemplating impermanence, or if one dwells contemplating suffering, and so on, combining in this way, he knows as it is the cause and condition between dwelling in contemplation of cessation. The Tathagata knows the root of omniscience, the knowledge of arising, and when asked about it again, he answers in a kalpa, from hundreds of kalpas to unspeakable and unspeakable kalpas, combining in this way, he will enjoy himself in this space between the sandalwood courtyard and the pavilion.

This is the nature of phenomena that has not arisen from the very beginning. Among them, what is knowledge, seeing, clarity, direct realization, truly understanding, and wisdom, this is called the knowledge of the power of omniscience, knowing the cessation. The Thus-Gone One truly knows this as it is. When the Thus-Gone One's knowledge of the power of omniscience, knowing the cessation, is further questioned, from answering in an eon, he will enjoy this between the sandalwood cloister and the mansion.
