如是。居士，如来如何如实了知，了知寂静之界，了知寂静之灭？居士，于此，如来如是了知：为无量众生作利益，遮止非利益，作光明，消除黑暗，使无量众生从痛苦中完全解脱，安置于安乐，此乃了知寂静之界，了知寂静之灭。彼亦是本来无生之法性。于此，何为了知、见、明、现证、如实通达、智者，此名为了知寂静之界，了知寂静之灭。如来如实了知彼。如来于了知寂静之界，了知寂静之灭，复又请问，于劫中作答，如是连接，彼将于旃檀之庭院与楼阁之间受用。居士，如来如何如实了知，了知寂静之界，了知寂静之灭之道？居士，于此，如来了知以何了知寂静之界，了知寂静之灭之道，完全了知，通达，现前之灭，彼亦如实了知。若于无味而安住随观，或于过患而安住随观，或于决定出离而安住随观之了知，彼亦如实了知。如来于了知寂静之界，了知寂静之灭之道，复又请问，于劫中作答，如是连接，彼将于旃檀之庭院与楼阁之间受用。居士，如来如何如实了知无寂静之界？居士，于此，如来如实了知不具足五种欲妙之无寂静之界。于此，何为了知、见

So it is. Householder, how does the Thus-Gone One truly know, know the cessation of the realm with disturbance, know the knowledge of cessation of tranquility? Householder, in this, the Thus-Gone One knows thus: He benefits immeasurable beings, averts non-benefit, makes light, dispels darkness, completely liberates immeasurable beings from suffering, and establishes them in happiness. This is the knowledge of the cessation of the realm with disturbance, the knowledge of cessation of tranquility. It is also the nature of the Dharma that is unborn from the beginning. In this, what is knowledge, seeing, clarity, realization, truly understanding, and wisdom? This is called the knowledge of the cessation of the realm with disturbance, the knowledge of cessation of tranquility. The Thus-Gone One truly knows it. When the Thus-Gone One is asked again about the knowledge of the cessation of the realm with disturbance, the knowledge of cessation of tranquility, he answers in an eon. Connect it thus, and he will enjoy it in the sandalwood courtyard and between the pavilions. Householder, how does the Thus-Gone One truly know the path that leads to the cessation of the realm with disturbance, the knowledge of cessation of tranquility? Householder, in this, the Thus-Gone One knows by what knowledge the path that leads to the cessation of the realm with disturbance, the knowledge of cessation of tranquility, is fully known, understood, and the cessation is made manifest. He also truly knows it. If one dwells contemplating without tasting, or dwells contemplating faults, or dwells contemplating definite departure, that knowledge is also truly known. When the Thus-Gone One is asked again about the knowledge of the path that leads to the cessation of the realm with disturbance, the knowledge of cessation of tranquility, he answers in an eon. Connect it thus, and he will enjoy it in the sandalwood courtyard and between the pavilions. Householder, how does the Thus-Gone One truly know the realm without tranquility? From the wise onwards, whatever exists, this is called the knowledge of the undefiled realm. The Tathagata fully knows it as it truly is. If someone asks the Tathagata about the knowledge of the undefiled realm, answering from an eon, combining it thus, he will enjoy this between the sandalwood cloisters and the pavilions. Householder, how does the Tathagata fully know as it truly is the arising of the knowledge of the undefiled realm? Householder, here, the Tathagata fully knows it thus: having generated roots of virtue in immeasurable Buddhas, the Bhagavat, the attainment of the arising of the knowledge of the undefiled realm, the Tathagata fully knows it as it truly is. Householder, furthermore, the Tathagata fully knows it thus: through what cause and what conditions the arising of the knowledge of the undefiled realm is truly attained, the Tathagata fully knows those causes and those conditions as they truly are. If one abides in contemplating impermanence, up to abiding in contemplating turning away, the Tathagata fully knows it as it truly is. If someone asks the Tathagata about the arising of the knowledge of the undefiled realm, answering from an eon, combining it thus, he will enjoy this between the sandalwood cloisters and the pavilions. Householder, how does the Tathagata fully know as it truly is the cessation of the knowledge of the undefiled realm? Householder, here, the Tathagata fully knows it thus: having done what is beneficial for immeasurable beings, and having averted what is not beneficial, combining it thus, establishing them in happiness, this is called the knowledge of the cessation of the knowledge of the undefiled realm, and it is also the nature of the Dharma that has not arisen from the beginning. For it, whether it is knowledge, seeing, clarity, manifest realization, truly understanding, or the wise, this is called the knowledge of the cessation of the knowledge of the undefiled realm, the Tathagata fully knows it as it truly is.
